Finally dug the fuel pump out from the tank on my GMC S-15 yesterday....ordered a new one from Rock Auto, that'll be here by Friday....just shy of $90. Still kinda miss my old '83 GMC squarebody....I replaced the mechanical fuel pump on it once....20 bux across the counter! Those days are long gone now...

I've been called Worse....by Better...

That's what I live in....ain't ashamed to say. Mfr'd home w/ a total footprint of 24x40.... w/ only 7ft. sidewalls....easier to heat & cool. Bought it outright 6 yrs. ago for &102k...can't touch ANYplace for that price now. TBH, the real selling point was the 24x24 heated & insulated pole-barn garage w/ a covered carport the same size adjacent to it....all sitting on 5/8 of an acre. The blasted property taxes are only 1/3rd of what I was paying on the left side of the state.

1 of the smarter things I ever did was quit smoking... got real tired of paying good money just kill myself...ridiculously Stoopid! But tbh, still burn a little bit of cannabis about 3 times a YEAR....usually when I'm camping.

Just another 97F day in the 'hood....did manage to have a spin on the Mullet before it got too hot.... Crappy camera on this phone!....

99F here today....looking 4ward to tomorrow when it's only supposed to get to 82F ....got some pressure-washing to do....

Was a warm one here today....got home from a church picnic & it was 102F

He's gotta keep that chrome trailer hitch ball looking like new....covers it with a tennis ball....Duh!

After owning 4 XJ's & a coupla XS's....the valve shim exercise is a piece of cake. Time consuming, but I can do it in my sleep...

Man, I feel blessed to have a 24 x 24 insulated garage w/ pellet stove heat & wired for 220v. It was quite liberating to bleed off all my motorcycle stuff to my oldest G-son....got plenty of room for Truck work & 2 Ebikes now.

Just got the news that a great friend of mine will be moving to Elgin in the next coupla weeks.... When I talked w/ him earlier, you could hear the enthusiasm in his voice. Known the guy for 46 yrs. & have always enjoyed Skiing, 2-Wheelin' & camping/fishing together. I hold him in high regard as he's the one who showed me this side of the state....Pretty stoked for him.

Monday was 100f....yesterday 98f....63f this morning at 5am.....looks like next week is more of the same. We could definitely use some of that "pissing down" around here....help keep the wildfires at bay....

Only 83F here today....made it to 100F on Monday, so a pleasant & tolerable temp change.

Definitely sounds like an Amazon tactic....where they do so much bizness that their volume makes up for the lack of returns...

Got home yesterday from a 3400+ mile road trip....gonna be in the 80'sF today & into the 90'sF by Monday....glad we beat the heat...& you can have states like MN & ND!

I've done that type of fix to motorcycle tires before....the things I used to do w/ my Seca 550...
