Triumph Unveils The 10-Bike Chrome Collection
Pedro replied to Peon Maface's topic in MOTORCYCLE CHAT
I'm far from a Triumph fanboy, but there are good looking bikes there! -
I will admit: I have had some wine I have taken into account Saul's themed "2am creepy squint looking down at computer screen selfie while wife is asleep" and "boys choir" comment and I will now behave as I have grown and am aware that all I say is not funny the next day

You lost your mind, nobody really cares. It's got what a Honda really had, it's easy and balanced and nice.
-
Pretty brave to post that here.

Don't worry yourself with Pete "the forehead" 's comments!

The real truth about the CB500X ... that's a little misleading... Makes people think you'll understand the meaning of life when you ride one or that there's a big conspiracy about them, it's just a slow and well balanced Honda like many before it. I have a friend who ordered (with the paying of moneys) a new CB500S here in Portugal, in Lisbon. They have been getting delays on the arrival of bikes, firstly arriving in July, then August, then changed to September, then maybe November, but now it should arrive any day now. Exciting times!

Homemade in Canada means start from a can? This is not going to be 20 posts to mix canned sauce with tomatoes and potatoes, is it? Putain! (get it? it was a joke!)

I though a permit was a driving license, is it not? Some styles of illegal parking here takes points from your driving license points, same as other driving offenses. Same as driving without insurance, IPO (MOT to you), etc

You'll be going really fast except to the cops.

Fit a big rear sprocket, reallllllllllllllly big

I would be springing for a nice Rukka suit and hoping not to die.

What do you mean they were unloved? Did you just "love" them?
-
Well, you say that, but you just went and got a Hayabusa, get a nice CB500 or Himalayan instead... No joke though, don't you need your license to earn a living?

I don't know, if you're commuting, when it takes you more time to put in your gear, get warm, ride the bike, get out of your gear, than it does to drive, just drive and be warm and healthy to enjoy motorcycling when it's meant to be enjoyed. I once commuted on my Transalp, in winter it took longer than driving, but I never had to face serious traffic.

Not really. I mean, when in the right mood there are roads that I might do over 3 times the speed limit, some might call that being a bad boy. On motorways sometimes I kind of let it rip just so those young dudes on the CBR600 don’t think they’re the shit, bit what annoys me is that the tickets that have been pinned on my permit are an 80kmh exiting a village in the countryside on a 70kmh area and a 110kmh on a 60kmh between two 120kmh motorways, the ladt one I was quite lucky as I usually do that bit on cruise control doing 130kmh. seems like you can’t be a responsible speeder nowadays without being caught out for crap. Almost makes me want to get a hayabusa and a roll of white sticky tape just for going out on sunday mornings for coffee! PS: oh, I forgot, while I was away my dad felt an urgent need to fill out a Euromillions and parked my car on a crosswalk, the twat!

I also like the first gold colour, only because when it came out it was so impressive that I grew to like that. I’m a big fan, but am a step away from loosing my permit as it is. The Dainese shop where I go for coffee and to buy wine is a meeting point for the Hayabusa club, always a sight:

A black Hayabusa is a pretty thing. With a clean looking stock exhaust and the cowl on instead of the rear seat even more. Looks clean and pretty.

It identifies as a Yamaha now

I slept in a cave there once, it’s an experience, and if there are no more guests to make a sound the complete darkness and silence makes for an interesting night. You wake up and have no idea if it’s 3am or already day
