  1. I back-tracked a couple of miles and then continued towards Corsham, on the way I spotted some of Fred's mates so I stopped to say hello.............. I have no idea why this dude had a big ring through his nose, I don't think he was a bull and the ring didn't look like one they use to lead the bull around, anyone got any idea what that's all about ? Further up the road I stopped at a country store for a sandwich and a coffee, they had a grass air-strip next to the place ............... Now I was heading back towards home but stopped in Biddestone as it's a lovely village with a cool duck pond............... The last stop was at Castle Coombe race circuit where there was a track day for cars. Only 66 miles were done but it was really enjoyable and not one drop of mud

    First ride

So as we got some sun as last it was time to take my Van Van for it's first ride . It wasn't going to be a long way and I certainly wasn't going to take it on any trails as it's far too clean for that malarkey. It took me over an hour to get used to the power (or lack of it ) , it was mainly noticeable going up hills and involved a lot of dancing on the gear lever but once I got used to it I really enjoyed the ride. So out around the back of Bath and over to Norton St Phillip and then down to Farleigh Hungerford to stop and have a nosey at the castle.......... From there I took the road to Bradford-on-Avon and stopped to see what was going on at the canal wharf.................. From there I rode through the town and headed for Corsham but on route I remembered that Great Chalfield Manor was nearby so I detoured to get a photo........... Gt. Chalfield is a 15th century manor house with superb gardens to walk around, well worth a visit if you're in the area. I like the road that leads down to it as well......

  12. We arranged it when covid restrictions had the rule of 6 but as it eased we invited a couple of others. It was great to meet up again and the friday evening was a good laugh but we had to eveacuate the site on Saturday morning as the river Wye was about to burst over the banks. So I just rode a long loop home yesterday following my nose and dodging the showers
