My Christmas season has been spent looking after Mrs. Hook w/ her new knee...gotta admit that I'm proud of her for doing well w/ her recovery. Seeing consistent increments of improvement everyday. Kind of anxious to see how well she'll be doing by our anniversary in Feb. Hopefully be mobile enough to do a day trip to Hermiston to see my Great G-son by then...6 points

Dude! You spend the winter with your buddies in the woods bumming each other, no wonder you are self conscious.3 points

Hey @Clive, I thought of you on my ride yesterday, I rode through a part of Galashiels that had a mobility scooter parked outside of every other house.3 points

How long have you been married? When she says all she wants is “x”, it means exactly the opposite. You will pay for that unless you miraculously come up with a post Christmas gift strategically framed as “something just for her, not for everyone else to see”. I suggest a spa day.3 points

Of course I won’t wear it outside of the house, dum nuts . I will wear it up the shed though, it’s warm and it shows Shadow that I appreciate what’s she does for me.2 points

The normal booze and chocolate here. Went to see the grandkids in the morning which is all fun. Had the oldest round last night, good to see him as he doesn't appear often. Mandi done a good plate of food which is pressing for the throne room. Just washed and cleared everything away ready for "take 2" when the daughter gets here then it's the whole family day on the 28th.2 points

It’s not about price I am struggling to find a Yuasa one to fit. I have head that Motobatt can be iffy on quality as well. I can’t be arsed with Lithium. I just want a decent battery, happy to just a a standard lead acid type if I can find something. Just bought a Yuasa replacement for the Hornet as the standard one has shat the bed after 2 years. I don’t think I ride that bike enough.1 point

Quiet family dinner for Me and the Mrs with the 3 kids and How High so six of us in the end. Crackers and party hats the whole deal. I laughed when How High suggested games after dinner all three of my kids said: “No we don’t play games with Dad”. I don’t believe in competing unless it’s to win. Shadow has inherited that from me, the other two not so much Everyone is in a food coma apart from Shadow who is kicking How Highs ass in a game on the computer. Of course she is I got a good haul of prezzies, triumph shirt 3 hats, a pack of Nordic socks and an armoured bike Hoodie. All stuff I actually wanted. Kids and how high all got what they wanted and more. I bought the Mrs a set of tyres for her X3 which is what she asked for, still feel a bit guilty I never got her something else even after spending £400 on her. Women are good at that sort of thing. Been a bloody lovely Christmas much like we used to have when the kids were small.1 point

At the request of our two youngest, home from uni or a couple of weeks we have done Christmas at home, just the 5 of us this year. being skint ( as ever) we just did really cheapo gifts this year, but as meny as possible, individually wrapped under the tree so that here was a huge pile of them. I think a pocket knif that the 3 girls clubbed together for and gave to me was the most expensive one on the year. We had beer, wine and nibbles till late last night, did the presents this morning and had a proper Christmas dinner with Poularde Roti, Gratin Dauphinoise, ( that's roast fat chicken and spuds in cream sauce to you along with broccoli, yorkshire pudding and gravy. preceeded by aperitifs and accompanied by a nice local red wine. Now I am doing my best imitation of a beached whale on the sofa...1 point

I have actually very few pics of the bike this year, I've done quite a bit of riding but more often than not in a group this year, as I now work more social hours. I have also done a lot more leading a group as well which also makes photo stops more complicated. I took this one whilst waiting for the others to turn up for our Vosges trip, back in May.1 point

It's looking very nice now, great transformation! I can't unsee that it looks like it's pretending to be a Harley once you cover it:1 point

Well there's nothing else to do..lol...speaking of wich , possible ride tomorrow, Dan wants to go down shore...its a solid 200km plus day..-14 c on the forecast, we had a good layer of snow but we lost it all just before Christmas, 5 cm fell during the night , there's a long section of trail with monster roots and rocks , don't know if I want guts to be put through a blender tomorrow, I might pull out...un- decided still...still not enough snow for the grooming machine yet..they were running snowcats for many years, now it's tractor with tracks like this..0 points
