40th GPO rally near Milton Keynes. Phil the Spill, the infamous bike rally photographer was there, I was convinced it couldn't be him cos he lives in Scotland now, but I asked and it bloody was. I'm sure he was shorter than me at previous rallies, but he's a few inches taller now, so either porridge builds you up or I'm shrinking!5 points

So we wake up yesterday morning and decide to go for a walk down to Mermaid Cove to watch the sunrise. As we were approaching the cove we heard this strange sound coming from the water. We had never heard such a thing and did not know what to think. We made our way to the shore and looked out to see the most spectacular sight, a pod of frick'n dolphins swimming along. I knew they passed along the coast but never in the 25 years I had house there did I get to see such a thing. Now that I have returned for the winter I feel so lucky to have seen such a sight, finally. The pod entered the cove and began eating breakfast. As we watched them feast, the seagulls flew overhead, a blue heron sat in the distance, the bald eagles could be heard on the shore across the way and the low moans of some whales could be heard in the far distance if you listened closely. Although we didn't see the whales there was no mistaking they were out there. What an experience, to say I was excited would not sum up how I felt. It was truly amazing. . This weekend is Thanksgiving weekend here and we normally think about what we are thankful for. I have a long list this year of things to be thankful for and this experience is very close to the top.4 points

You’re aware there’s a minimum speed on mainland Europe’s motorways, @Slowlycatchymonkey, and that there are uphills on some of them…4 points

It is going well thanks. Going to upload a video a day to get everything in one spot. I have already had some welcome backs on the channel I am merging to, which was my motorcycle channel. Oh dear did I use the word excite again, @XTreme does get a little silly when I use that word. It's just nice to be inspired again, I think that is what is exciting me. I have been a bit tired from the last year and I am now getting my mojo back!!3 points

Great pics. Those frogs are practically disneyesque in appearance. I always thought that cartoony frog look was made up! How did I not know this? They must not be a popular nature documentary topic3 points

For fuck sake , I apologise on xtremes behalf Michelle, it seems he is void of any moral compass2 points

All in all it was a heck of a year for you! Glad to hear your life force returning Xtreme silly? Never2 points

Thanks Michelle. How’s the merge gone? Its funny how the things that can excite you change as you get older. One day you’re hip n cool the next you’ve got a favourite hob ring2 points

Same to you. Looks like a quiet day around camp for me. I am working on merging my YouTube channels. When I started my journey I thought I needed a separate channel for everything. But now I would like it all under my roof, actually kind of excited about the merge. Hope your day is going well.2 points

The coast I am on is more like a seasonal through point. We have a lot of birds come through on migration and the same for the sea life as they move to their winter waters. So the chance of seeing that again is low, it was one of those times when you are in the right place at the right time.1 point

Wow that was worth getting out of bed for! Petes right you do have a relaxing voice. Are they creatures of habit? Are you going to be getting up at daftoclock from now on to try and see it again?1 point

having spent a week NOT scrabbling around in filthy bilges, NOT trying to calm down dissapointed clients, NOT doing field repairs, NOT pulling berges around and NOT trying to organise everybody else, you'll probably NOT be surprised to know that this weekend I have NO back pain, NO swollen painful knees, NO swollen fingers or toes and nobody is relying on me to answer the phone and sort out their problems. I am therefore going to make a second attempt at the Lac des settons this afternoon.1 point

This is the way, vario cases in their smaller tucked in version were enough for two up touring for 2 weeks. The smaller exhaust side case carried the overalls and everything bike related, the left bigger one carried clothing and was taken to the room. No camping, obviously. There was still place for souvenirs, to carry food or whatever. If the two plastic bottles carried for survival aren't enough and you want proper booze, the cardboard wine bottle boxes sit nicely on top They extend, which is great for supermarket runs, but then they get wider than the front and the front is wide enough already.1 point
