Since it's first incarnation as Bikezone in 2002 I don't think we've lost anybody in a motorcycle accident.......which speaks volumes about the level of experience that we have. But we have lost CSJ, Dirtybill, and SFR of course!4 points

I'm on holiday for the week. So far I have been to Tesco once and had two rides out on a push bike, it's a bit nippy for that though. Living the dream here. My local river has flooded the paths in my nearest park so I spent a lot of time pedalling through glutinous mud whilst trying to stay upright. Still at least I don't have to answer a zillion emails and I've managed to watch series 1 of The Expanse. A robin landed on a branch about 18 inches from me yesterday as I was walking to Tesco and sat there looking at me with something wriggly in its gob. I locked eyes with it and slowly got my phone out to take a picture. By the time I'd faffed about getting the camera on he hopped into a proper tree, but still quite close. Also just fitted the plastic covers to my new to me fog lights. I hadn't done it before because they only stay on with friction and I was worried they'd disappear and they are bloody expensive. I drilled a few holes and zip tied them on. Need to find some small black zip ties, only had white ones, but they'll do for a while.3 points

It's been the curse of my life that I've always been lumbered with Twats! Both Internet and pre-Internet eras. Here's me at Oulton sometime in the late 70's with 3 fucking twats behind me. And I was stuck in a tent overnight with them as well! Now I gotta add another fucking Twat to the list! Fuckmine!3 points

From where I'm sitting it just seems like more of the same old shit! I wish we could go back 5 years to before everything went insane! Life was a lot simpler when you could just wake up in the morning without thinking "WTF is going to happen next?" Remember those days when you could go wherever you wanted to, and you never needed to wear a face mask? Those were The Good Old Days they were!2 points

Some people have done some real nice bar conversions. i can see local pubs continuing to suffer after this lockdown because People are comfortable doing things at home now and may never go back to being a regular at a pub.2 points

Well I'm bored out of my skull today. We're not supposed to go out except for vital shopping (don't need any) and exercise (I limit that as it causes me aggro with my leg). I have nothing I can really do on any of the bikes and it's pissing down as well. BUT, at least I'm not in hospital on a covid ward so things can't be all that bad.2 points

It's been shit. Started with lack of energy and a depressive mood, then went back into work and so far altogether have invoiced what used to be my daily average last January, don't have one work call that isn't a complaint, covid has locked me in and it's only getting worse so no idea when I'll be able to go out, and February is coming with a painful anniversary coming, which I'll probably be forced to spend with family at home instead of on my own on the bike. Can't say I'm in a cheerful mood to be honest. Have read a good book though, "India, the Shimmering Dream", you should too:2 points

I recently discovered the pleasures of a neck protector in cold weather riding. Nice stuff. I don't understand this "Fuckmine" thing, is this a new thing? Fuck mine what? Hasn't it always been "fuck me"? Sincerely, Confused from Portugal2 points

I get annoyed with the whole "pack" mentality that happens when people get on motorcycles or bicycles or whatever, suddenly they can boss people around on the street just because they are on a pack of several. Karma puts these people in positions when they're remembered that their pack is worth shit and they, and this video is such an occasion. In this case the real bad guys really only needed to merge into a different lane and were bossed around like those twats on the bikes probably did to countless other people.2 points

I'd say 85-90% are doing the right thing, there are always going to be wankers who just do what they want. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-somerset-556296891 point

I am torn, the place where I have my home is near where 70% of Portugal's positives are, and the hospitals there are simply dreadful, but the house is nearer to countryside and I can spend weeks only talking to a couple of neighbors from a distance. Here, in my parents', I am in a theoretically better area but more densely populated when I leave the house to walk the dog. We've been ordered to keep in, but this time people don't seem to really be taking it to consideration, whenever I go out I see traffic going on as normal outside including on the weekend. For the first time, I am seriously concerned about our situation here and fearful for my parents' household. Everything is simpler when I'm on the bike and just moving around ?1 point
