In the UK STOP signs are the only octagonal shaped sign plate. The Give Way is the only upside down triangle plate. This is so they will both be recognised even when covered in snow. We are not supposed to ever build a new junction that needs a STOP sign, sight lines should always be good enough for a Give Way sign. Therefore the only STOP signs should be at old historic junctions where buildings or walls are unlikely to ever be demolished or rebuilt.3 points

We don't have the social lives that we had in the 70's. And I expect most of the people we hung about with are no longer here. 20 years ago I'd look on the Internet to try and find what old friends were up to. Now I look to see if they're still alive. And a lot aren't.2 points

When are we going to have some abandoned Victorian toilet ride reports Yen? You need to embrace Dark Motorcycling......and I don't think there's anybody better qualified than you!2 points

Here is the thread for submission of your pictures for Bike Of the Month September, on the 25th I'll start a poll for voting. @XTreme, sticky thread? This time I think we're better not having two votes, it never occurred to me that there would be no way of settling a possible tie , what do you guys think? Also, no tractors, cars, lawnmowers, washing machines, sowing machines, trikes, quads, buses, boats, and other vehicles other than motorcycles will be accepted, but nothing stops you from submitting pictures though, tractors are particularly popular1 point

Come on, guys, let's not let it be a duel between my bike and @XTreme's try of a Strom next to some lettuce field! @yen_powell has a shiny new bike, @Earache has a few great pictures from his last ride with the scenery to back it up, I know for a fact @Sofia is holding back on a couple of great pictures of the Triumph, @Grasshopper's Ride surely has plenty of the Himalayan to fight and try to be the first bike to get a second BOTM win and also a consecutive one, @Sir Fallsalot has dirty bike gold, @Specs probably has one of the GS, and @Mawsley has a chance of having the first scooter, @boboneleg surely went out with the T7 or the CRF as well. A plethora of different bikes from all over the world, and I'm sure I'm forgetting someone1 point

Mine is three years old next month, and have only managed 11k miles on it from new. I used to do that in six months. ?1 point

Have to go to Cheltenham and Gloucester on Friday. Bike service and MOT. Have to use the dealer due to warranty. Giving me a loan bike to go to Gloucester. Hope that it's something interesting. Hope that the thought police don't stop me going through Newport on M4. Friends have had to cancel a weekend in Aberystwyth due to Bridgend County going into partial lockdown.1 point

No.......same as DR650.....not available here due to emissions. As is the case with the UK. If I could get a new DR650 I'd get one tomorrow......no hesitation.1 point

Right! But I think it should only be one bike per member.........which it was back in MB days.1 point
-
I meant having only one vote, meaning no primary vote and then the second one like last month.1 point

Done! And I agree one member/one submission is the only way to do it to level the playing field! Otherwise the odds are always stacked against the one bike people!1 point

Took a short run to Orce cos I had to see somebody there......and what do you know? A bunch of Moto Club Fuckwits sitting around doing fuck all when they could be riding. It was the usual entourage of Beemers, along with a Triumph and a couple of Harleys! And as per usual, 1970's Brit Greasers in worn out jackets and ripped jeans riding Parts Bin Specials get blanked! Suits me just fine......I've spent my life not wanting to belong. I leave such desires to my old toothless mate! A short vid first...... Billy No Mates Strom being ostracised........ Weapons of choice for Moto Club Fuckwits....... Most of them looked too old and too short for their bikes.......so I had the Camera ready just in case of mishaps! And for some strange reason today I felt in sync again with the Strom again. Weird!1 point

I'm not likely to even find mud Pedro......we've had many years of dry Winters and the reservoirs are now at their lowest points ever.1 point
