The old Railway Workshops in Guadix!

I was out by 11am and it was a roundtrip of 200kms......mostly motorway unfortunately!

The destination was the old Railway Workshops in Guadix which have been closed for many years and are now in a pretty bad state!

It's claim to fame is that it's been featured in two films.....North West Frontier in 1959, and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989.

The vid is a bit different this time......no soundtrack as it's all low speed onboard footage so a lot less wind noise!

Now this is why a Top Box is essential here because of the temperature variations that can occur during the day!

When I left the house it was 14C but in Guadix it was 26C......so I'd be carrying all this shit around with me if I didn't have the Box.

It was the first time I'd been out in a month, so the bike got a good run.

As usual, it never missed a beat.......though it did get covered in dust getting access to this place.

Which meant a visit to the Jet Wash......the first one since last November!

So that was my day......best run I've had for some time.

And I can now walk around when I stop......without getting a load from grief from my Hernia!

Did I mention that I had a Hernia?

Nice one Pete, some of it looks like it may not be standing for too much longer.  Do you know what year it was abandoned ?

December 31st 1984 when the line was closed!

That was one of the terminus's! Then it went onto Gorafe, Gor, Baul, Zujar-Freila, Baza, Caniles, El Hijate, Seron, Tijola, and Fines-Olula.....all of which I've done.

Only in the sense it shows people all over the world think the same and we are not so different when presented with an abandoned wall, the question is shall we paint a masterpiece no lets just draw a cock :classic_laugh:

@Skippy You could have been on this if you hadn't pulled a sickie!

The Mrs now has it, which is clearly all my fault for catching it in the first place. 🤣🤣
