I think you've got to remove the grab handles with the Givi haven't you?

That's why I went for Shad!

There aren't any on the CB500F mate.  I went for the Givi as it is big enough to hold my lid so I haven't got to cart it around at choir or work.

Needs must mate……….can’t deny their practicality but they ain’t ever gonna win a beauty prize.

All true, but at least I can just take it off easily when not commuting, only have to press the button.

Strange why they'd put them on the X and not the F.

I think the F was built down to a price where practically everything was an extra.   The X has quite a bit more standard kit.

Mind you I mostly have Givi but I really like the quality of sw motech

Me to but motech boxes are rather spendy.  The box to go with my panniers is approaching £400.

It's always a surprise just how much they can charge for a bit of moulded plastic.

Too right.  The Hepco & Becker panniers on my Ducati are stupid money and they're not that brilliant either :classic_rolleyes:

Just looked it up 😵

The standard BMW ones for the F800GT which you expect to be expensive are also not great, they're too small and the aluminium panniers (without racks) are between £700-£1000.

At that price they can do one!
