Yes looking at those old pics... Agree at a 100%.

Pete would make your arse hurt more than a KTM seat.

I was out at 9.15 today to try and avoid the heat.....but I ended up being out longer than I planned. So I sweated my nuts off! :classic_unsure:

Followed a farm access road that I hadn't been on before......and ended up (somehow) at an abandoned village that I found by accident early this year.

This was the one that doesn't show up on any maps and is not listed on any of the "Abandoned" sites that I look at.......so I can't give you any history on it.

In fact I don't even know whether it's in Granada, Almeria, or Murcia provinces! At a push I'd say it was likely to be Granada......though I went in from the Almeria end.

So here it is......the vid gives a better overview than the pics though.

Still in Granada here.....

Now I'm in Almeria......

Abandoned shit everywhere in this area.......

Then I eventually reach the village after wobbling along some pretty iffy roads....

It's a very odd place because a lot of the houses look quite liveable and are totally secured.

Then there's a few in this state....

By this time I was drenched in sweat so time to make a move!

The bike ended up covered in sand and dust, but that situation has now been rectified! Just needs a polish tomorrow.

The bike was flawless, and you can't put a price on the peace of mind you get when your bike is a Honda! As opposed to some other brands!

If the 1200GS had fucked up in a location like this the consequences could be dire.....there's no phone signal and you're miles from anywhere! it's serious shit!

Another benefit that I'm finding is fuel consumption......last weekend's trips and this weekend's trips have cost me less than €10. As a rough calculation that has to be over 80mpg! :classic_ohmy:

So there we are......one weekend and two ride reports! I'm fucking carrying you Casuals!

I think I read something about that abandoned village a while back. Bad case of Bubonic Plague wiped them all out. You should be alright Pete if you have no dodgy symptoms by now. Now, time to read all the other threads that have been updated whilst I have been away.

Nice report Pete, like the video/music combination
I bet that bike runs on fumes, I know the 700x get's around 75mpg apparently

Haven't tested exactly myself, but I've seen reports of 80/90 mpg.
