Just got back from a funeral...looking 4ward to Monday as the Mrs. & I are scheduled for a Dirt Road ride...

After spending 3 days w/ my boy & his boy laughing my ass off ....I took a drive to John Day to pay a visit to an old 2-wheel friend that I helped move OUT of Portland.... He loves it like I do. Spent an evening exploring the bike park they have there in JD W/O a doubt, I'll be better prepared next time...fell off twice & my knee & elbow aren't likin' it. Then left for home Thursday morning...drove west to Mt. Vernon on Hwy 26...then took Hwy 395 north up to the Ukiah turn off....What a Beautiful stretch of tarmac!!...Made me wish I still had my XT6... The John Day river is sure flowing well....

That explains everything...

After I get back from Portland next week where I'll be spending 3 days w/ my son & grandson...& no doubt will be laughing my ass off most of the time watching those 2 give each other all kinds of grief ...gonna locate a new control circuit board for our pellet stove & fix it myself. It'll be nice to know that it'll be ready in Sept. when the liquid sunshine & lower temps show back up. For now....Roll On summer

75f degrees today but a bit more humid....washed the Bike & then the Equinox to prep for some paint touch-up tomorrow...then took a spin on the Mullet before some Blackberry Whisky shooters w/ the Mrs. this evening...

Even though I'm apparently unqualified due to not having foot pegs ...& yet @boboneleg has won w/ his f*ckin' cool Vespa....& @Clive doesn't catch much flack with his scoot entry, which both are pegless... I'm throwing my motorized 2-wheeler in the mix this month regardless of its pedals...

Nope...just an update on what my boy's been doing for the last 5 years....he KNOWS what info to tell me & when....had that "Need To Know" basis since he was in Iraq.

After 5 yrs. of not seeing my son...(he's a PMC in Israel) I got wind that he's here in OR currently!....just talked to him for the 1st time in a coupla years...he's in Portland to get his beat-up shoulder operated on (injury from Iraq back in 2011) & process a load of paperwork to get his Top Secret security clearance for a new contract in Germany after he finishes the remaining contract in Israel. Gonna relieve my anxiety a bit as a parent to know he'll be moving up the food chain & outta the field....probably gonna go see him next week...pretty stoked about that!

Gonna be 72+f here today.... the Mrs. & I went to Emmett ID yesterday to retrieve the rest of her stuff in storage...collected a $120 deposit which paid for a pizza lunch & made a dent in her income tax bill. Emptying the car out today...mowing the front yard lawn & hopefully getting her out on the Etrike.

Yeah, especially if she has a flat top on her head for your beer....& can suck a bowling ball through a garden hose, eh? Fortunately, she towers over those types at 5'-5"...
