  1. you can go through i'll take the bridge lol i hate that ford it's not that deep but the rocks in there are slippery as ice and make getting onto the concrete slab each end difficult and they keep changing every time we have bad weather
  2. Been out on the Beta all afternoon doing the local lanes photos you've all seen before but i'll put them up anyway, it was a bit windy on the hills hard enough to ride the ruts without the wind blowing me off course I came down here on the XR with the chainsaw yesterday clearing some fallen trees only right i go up it today, i'm so unfit at the moment when i got to the end which is only about 200 yards i was breathing like a guy who smokes 40 a day with one lung went down a lane to Stanley town and onto Penrhys golf course lane Further along looking towards Porth Short Video from here looking into the Rhondda Fawr Valley I switched valleys to go up to Miriam's bench haven't been here for a while and it hasn't improved, the golf course lane i came from is the other side of the valley Another short video from here looking into the Rhondda Fach Valley and blowing a Hooley had a play through the forestry at the end of the lane Onto the ford in Ynysybwl i decided not to go through and went this way and over the foot bridge i think it would have been easier to go through the ford took the lane from the Jampot down and had the opportunity to try out the new silky saw It worked much better than i thought a hand saw should but bloody hard work with all the bike gear on some of those branches were more like trunks from here i headed home via Eglwysilan mountain. I'm aching like hell now really need to work on my fitness Route map
  3. I think i should have posted this here https://www.facebook.com/share/r/12Dq3imJdGj/
  4. Just checked and the battery charger is out of recovery mode and is now charging, Thought i'd give the starter a push and the bike has started Lithium batteries are great
  5. I have one of these https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/248878?glCountry=GB&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiAyc67BhDSARIsAM95Qzsml_sND7Y7HO7g31GBKUjvRQ3oh3aPglTkCYdLqTcGI-IrXCWhhfYaAvsPEALw_wcB
  6. Just pulled the Beta out as i haven't looked at it for 3 months and the fecking battery is dead bloody Lithium crap, hoping my charger can recover it.
  7. I don't care i know my bike is the best and everyone else is wrong
  8. Eh no you need to go back through the tread and do some revision or @Pedro is going to fail you
  9. My late Christmas present to me turned up today slightly larger than the old and cost considerably more hope its worth the cash, it cut through a 4" diameter branch easy enough today something i know the old saw would have struggled on
  10. When i was a kid living at my parents house our next door neighbour had one of those. he got up for work one morning to find the engine gone someone had removed it while it was parked on his driveway and nobody saw or heard a thing
  11. Who's doing what, i have nothing planned this year the kids are away so probably just be me and the wife having a living room party, saying it like that makes me think i might not show up LOL
  12. My wife don't bitch and how do you know her
  13. I'm off until a week today so just chilling out enjoying the freedom. I was out on the XR this morning clearing some small fallen trees on a local lane that's enough exercise for today
  14. In @Renegade's defense he's an old fucker and his brain is only running at 50% of normal, years are like months to him now
  15. That's the one thing a lot of people are not prepared for when riding through muck you will still be finding the stuff weeks after washing it. I cant be arse half the time and just leave it if i know I'm out in the next week or two
  16. I did have my chainsaw trousers on underneath my waterproof over trousers, they were surprisingly comfortable when riding the bike i may have stumbled upon something lol
  17. I’ve had stainless and ali bits from my local scrap metal yard usually for free but I do weigh in a lot of copper in with them
  18. In a pub called the moody cow near Ledbury waiting for the most expensive fish and chips I’ve seen in a while hope it’s good
  19. My daughter and her boyfriend are off to Austria skiing today and we have to drop the boy off in Ledbury to met up with his girlfriend and then he's off to the Isle of Man with her so me and the wife will be on our own for new year, But thinking about it we wouldn't see them if they were home anyway. And @Pedro just so you can feel a little less victimised the last time the boy went to the Isle of Man with his girlfriend the both of them were taken aside by security and interrogated like you were and his girlfriend lives there LOL
  20. I was off out to cut some firewood i spotted this morning but went to auto parts first to get the replacement bolt for the daughters car and what should i see in their car park when i was there it was a big tree down so i cut that up instead, saved me a much longer trip bloody hard slog on my own Still trying to work out what tree it is, some of it was already cut for me the wet ends of it have gone an interesting colour Annoying the neighbours cutting the pre cut bits to size My wood store is now full finished the day off with the annual Christmas wrapper burning
  21. Knocked up a saw mount on the XR this morning Covered it with a plastic bag with a helmet bag on top for the trip up to Merthyr as it's bloody foggy as hell and a bit damp First tree cleared Rode around this one last time and thought since i'm here just cut it Forgot to take a before on this one it was overhead you had to duck under And the folding saw destroyer now destroyed Then onto this lot My little saw made short work of it all The gulley repairs i done back in the summer held up well to the storms we had. Those two rock in the middle of the stream have been washed there right in the path of the line you need to get up the bank, too bloody heavy for me to move shows the power a stream has in flood I wanted to check out a lane that runs from the end of this one over to Aberdare as i'd had reports of it being washed out, when i got to the top of the hill i was amazed how good the weather was the whole of the valleys were submerged in a thick fog all day but it was blue sky's and warm on the hills Photo taken about 15:30 as the sun was starting to go down Last one before heading down into it to go home
  22. I was out today and no i did not use photoshop or any other photo editing software that is how the camera took it
