  1. This one is a man made lake, for water to be used for farming. It has a big dam which can be opened. 100/150km away the Algarve is in severe draught though.
  2. Not really worth of a ride report, but yesterday met up with @Sofia in Alentejo by the big lake. Pleasant enough to be on the bike on the way there. Waiting for her to show up since we were coming from different places: and presto! Alqueva lake is at the absolute maximum level of water I've ever seen it, I doubt it has ever gone as high before. We left the Triumph for a little and I took her on the GS through an easy trail near the water, I think the bug to ride a trail bike has bitten... there might be a video later of that. Today we rode back home, except the majority of the ride was under quite heavy rain, my phone safe in my pocket and under my rain pants mean there's no pictures of it, but quite the amount of water came down. All warm and dry at home with my jacket still dripping down a bit.
  3. Why does the proper botm thread gets closed and this doesn’t?
  4. Doesn’t it make sense to use more assist, and then push as hard as normal but going twice as fast for the same effort?
  5. You sound like a discerning person, welcome!
  6. Almost being the main focus of that sentence.
  7. Heavy yes, slow and ponderous maybe, but ugly they are not. Particularly the ST, an unfaired one would look gorgeous with this paintwork.
  8. You got two, big day for you is it?
  9. Congratulations @boboneleg Seems everyone forgot…
  10. Go alone, one bike. It's the way to properly see it and experience a little bit of a different place.
  11. Probably had to stop because the groundskeeper needed to turn off the lights.
  12. I voted for the DR, it’s between that and the Dominator, may switch if it changes the outcome to either of them.

  14. It's a very nice engine, plus old school dry clutch. I'm a fan!
  15. You fuckers are turning picking the right pictures out of this thread into full time job.
  16. So @Tammy, is there one picture you’d like to submit? Taken this month, in horizontal format. All the rest, I’ll consider the latest one posted of each member, lets just hope it’s arms and legs and nothing else. @Sir Fallsalot, is yours a trick submission?
  17. He is, definitely a good one. Give the guys at Moto.it a look, they’re good. The silly guy at motojournal is also a great rider and incredibly knowledgeable but his french comedic antics sort of distract from it. edit: ignore all portuguese!
  18. Does he get the mail right? My local postman is a twat who always bends magazines, wouldn’t trust a word he says about bikes even though he rides a Honda.
  19. Word on the street around here is that most of construction, non only in the UK but most of Europe, has been funded by England. Real shame you voted out, all the kids here are crying about a swimming pool that’s not going to be made after all.
  20. Have you checked Nitron? They're similar in quality to Ohlins for motorsport, but cheaper and made in the UK.
  21. Lets see it on, looks nice and glassy from here.
  22. Pedro

    No more R1

And he went straight to the source, that's why he's the King
