  1. Just planned a 5 or 6 hour ride for tomorrow with blue skies outside, and now people are talking about bad weather....
  2. I will mostly be being a casual, I think Having said that, the weather has been so nice I am almost guilty I haven't been riding, stuff just has been getting in the way. I might take a couple of hours ride to a hilltop and grab a snack on my own. Might take a picture too, and post it in the "your day today" thread
  3. A prime chance to try google maps in search of some of those great gravel roads.

    My driveway.

The ones in Morocco have pedals on them, like bicycles or proper mopeds (not Tomos, though, Peugeots!), and they either pedal them to start on the center stand with the wheel up in the air or rolling on the ground, so it must work. Nobody ever pedals for more than 2 turns so they must start easy, it's a small two stroke after all.

    Baja!!!

I'll save this in a separate bookmark to see tomorrow, when I'm sober, from beginning to end!
  6. That's just too much to keep up with. Ride a GS there, and step off one and ride the other back to back. I'm interested (theoretically) on your conclusions
  7. I wouldn't say it's been worth it for humanity, though
  8. Sadly I don't think I have one anymore. I used to think of going around Africa as my dream trip, but now no real dream trips anymore. I could do it, have no excuses not to, except just lack of drive.

    My driveway.

Does it not start easily if you bump start it at almost walking pace? Maybe easier on the wound than kickstart.
  10. Well, exactly that, that you assume he's the limiting factor.
  11. I think it's natural that you try to keep your loved ones out of motorcycles and inside cars with airbags. Do as I say and not as I do?
  12. Reversing a 250kg bike uphill, or 350 is the same, you plan ahead. Obviously a proper big bike likes a reverse gear, but if you ride a heavy bike without you plan ahead. Parking and reversing uphill isn't the point, though, it's the "nobody can handle a heavy bike" thing
  13. Not to be the sensitive kind, but is he the kind of dude that likes being "If I can take him to this level" kind of guy?
  14. Well, they’re not manageable for you then, but they are indeed for plenty of people. I never test rode any of them because I try to not ride bikes I don’t plan on buying but both felt perfectly ok stopped.
  15. Triumphs aren’t shit in Portugal, Triumph as a brand is Two main Triumph dealers in Portugal, both currently useless in everything from buying a bike to servicing it, to buying parts. Nothing against the brand but here they are not well represented. On top of it, they’re more snobbish than anything.
  16. Had the same from a portuguese online shop. Confirmed the order with a 3 day delivery time, then two days later claimed it would take them three days more, then then three days later informed they had no stock delivery date, and tried to give me a refund in form of a credit on a different set, asked for a refund and took them three weeks. I think online tyre shops are a scam, at least here anyway. I’ve been buying tyres for 20 years, cars and bikes, from the same two shops and wouldn’t change unless for a specific unavailable product.
  17. This bike is a guilty pleasure for me, I really like the looks and feel it would be really cool to ride, except for two things which are that exhaust being not nice for warm weather in jeans, and it being a Triumph, Triumph is shit in Portugal and I don't want one.
  18. From the smile and weird beard I want to say Cat Stevens, but I'm terrible with faces and music stuff.
