  1. I almost voted for @Tango, because of the purple (is that purple?) gas tank and the pretty bike, but voted for @Sofia because of the Alentejo hills and trees and sunshine and because it´s an amazing place to ride. And the Speed Triple too
  2. I bet he took it out for the picture. Which is double the risk, as he might not be able to put it back on!
  3. And our weather is quite different, I can’t stand hot bikes in the summer, the GS is my limit.
  4. Southern Portugal at it’s best!
  5. You would think horse riders would prefer not to have those thicker branches on a muddy trail. For mud and an easy trail like that, would you still prefer the new 2 stroke to the XR?
  6. Is that two pictures put together? Looks like a line down the middle
  7. I love how the Mulstistrada looks, to be honest. But two things make me not even want to try one, the first being how hot they supposedly run, I like to spend time on country roads in the summer, both these and the KTMs supposedly pump quite a lot of heat to your inner thighs. The other is the portuguese dealerships, I don't care for them, shit service, they pretend like they're a Ferrari dealership and it's your privilege that they let you buy a bike But I do like them, on theory.
  8. Fucks sake, Pete, is that a real painted building in the background instead of a crumbling half built mess? Trying new things!
  9. Do driving schools use auto boxes in the UK?
  10. No, please, there's no need for extremisms! I'll remember @Sofia about this, she must have a couple of nice ones.
  11. Only couple of pictures of my bike this month were next to some unexpected early spring flowers
  12. My girl and I always laugh at how competitive we are. But I laugh more!
  13. That's not dramatic, it's a family's worth of an increase.
  14. My Honda XR400's manual asks for an oil change every 1000 miles. Honda assumes it's a racebike, as it was meant to be back then, people however take them touring and do 5 times that with no issues.
  15. Since the first Covid crisis, yes, but I think that was after a few years of sales going down.
  16. Nope, someone else cooked for me today, beef based, living large
  17. Yes, @boboneleg, you can tell them at the vaccination center that Pete says it´s ok!
  18. She looks like she's having a lot of fun when she says something, stops and everyone applauds
  19. If you heat it up enough, any clutch will fall apart. You can burn through a clutch in 1km or the same one last 100000 if used gently on the road, considering the abuse it's not surprising, ideally next time just stop for a breather when you feel it start to slide at first. Also, if that is the abuse the bike is going to get it's better you adopt closer oil change intervals, and maybe put stronger clutch springs in, too. Kawasaki clearly thought you'd use it differently when advising on maintenance.
  20. I like them, would rather have a normal color though. I don't think I'll ever own one though, unless I move somewhere else with less hills and twisty roads.
  21. A big GS isn't a nice motorway bike though, not in the way a proper fairing and smooth 4 or more cylinder bike is with a long ratio top gear. 140kmh on the motorway gets old fast, I think. Yes, ok, but that's like my GS, more at home on twisty roads than if you were to want to do really big distances. I don't think nobody bought big tourers for wanting to be seen on one, though. Being seen on a GS isn't something that appealing either, plenty about and not exactly special, often by people who have trouble going down a sidewalk.
