I really like your countryside and those seemingly lost roads you take pictures off. Makes me want to go for a french ride over there, stopping for the night at a small inn with a warm plate of country food and a bottle of red wine, like a musketeer

Had to google what Lenor is, makes sense using it for camping, it's outdoorable, as if dried outside

My kind of roads! 150 miles in that with proper cold gets you tired. I would really look forward to a nice hotel bed after a day in the cold, though, but glad to see you had fun even though you didn't make it to the rally.

At least here, it's because people have gotten fed up with making an effort, and are taking covid as something that just is going to be no matter what.
-
Plenty of great roads to make it interesting getting there, too.

I'd like to buy a Honda, in Japan, and then tour the country. That would be cool.

I've been fantasizing lately about going on a big trip, nothing specific except being away for a few months, and have also been thinking about which bike I'd like to take on that. Part of me wants to take my current GS, but another part wants to take a normal more nimble GS or an Africa Twin, the normal GS because a sorted one feels like a touring supermoto, and an Africa Twin because of the big front wheel for offroad and japanese engine. What would your dream trip / bike combination be?

My grandmother has a saying, inspired in the way a chicken offers her rear upwards when it's sexy time, "tĂŁo puta como uma galinha", which translates to "as much of a whore as a chicken". It sounds dirtier in Portuguese

Bringing up the rear?

Don’t let it go to your head, when I had the Transalp I read so much about the output shaft I was wiggling it every month, and almost murdered a mechanic when he said he was going to tighten the chain a little bit

It doesn't surprise me that the Harley is really good, Harley have serious know how and can make any type of bike they want and make it good. I have only seen one of these though, in black, and didn't care much for it. A few things make me smile because of journalists, though, they always act like dakar riders testing these bikes, if one would frequently ride proper fast off-road one would buy other bikes with better off-road manners. I would like to see a proper comparison with nice tires on twisty bumpy roads, that's where it's at.

Designers seem to forget they then need to add that huge plastic thing in the back for plate and lights

That's really pretty!

Yes, I've followed Harry's videos for ages. I like his take on cars.

I imagine just taking them off the sidestand could cause them to be really unstable. My mechanic has a few (too many) in different states of not functioning, I suspect he's going to corner the market on them

I can see the museum value for that, or for a true collector, though.

Give those guys a chance to go back in time and kill baby hitler or the dude who flooded that boat with foam, and they'll have a tough decision to make. I don't get it though, if nothing was wrong with the ship then why fill it with foam in the first place?
