  1. And you put it right in the center of the picture, nice! Looks good on the Triumph, though.
  2. We just need someone to edit those pictures and recreate the scene, this is like a CSI episode!
  3. Under a blue cold sky, on a ride to deliver wine and other goods. Stopping at @Catteeclan's favourite location amongst my usual routes.
  4. I bet you could take a picture of an expresso machine and make it look amazing as long as it was outside under a pretty sky! That's almost cheating!
  5. Were they really waving goodbye to you or just gathering to see the show?
  6. That gravel is meant to stop a truck with no brakes
  7. Same here, Bob. Tires seem to be quick as always but oil is scarce. My mechanic is using BMW branded oil because his usual Castrol hasn't been available.
  8. I’ve no issues with electric as long as it’s got the range and some of the ease of charge. Touring on back roads, my bike can go 650km to a tank, go…
  9. Good to hear, that you’re heading towards some balance!
  10. There’s been a transportation crisis going on around Europe for weeks/months now, I talked to a couple of people in the industry today while trying to help a friend out. But how can you know of such a specific shortage a month in advance unless you’re just selling news out of scare mongering?
  11. You do like singles, so why go for a twin if you hardly go on motorways or carry luggage?
  12. They can't make a holy grail bike, the game would be over
  13. Somehow those engines don't match the boat for me, too much of an agressive sound on such a pretty boat. A classic sailboat would always take my preference. No marriage, I guess ...
  14. I never fell off a bike, and have no plans to do otherwise Off tarmac doesn't count, obviously...

    Mums 90 today!

    Happy birthday @Tym's mum
  16. Good choice, iconic bike.
  17. I'll never sell my current GS. Having said that, there might be space in the garage in a medium term future for another bike. Something with a little more flare like a MVAgusta or a Ducati? Another GS, or an RT for a perfect cross europe tour, or maybe a naked sportier bike? Who knows?
  18. Oh oh, I did that too in the 1150 exiting a street parking outside a hotel in Rabat, only drop in Morocco and also only time I used the damned thing! Falling down I was thinkinh “funny, I don’t remember seing a sidewalk in front of the tire!”
  19. I disagree with that as it can turn into a cool story to tell but to the point, I think Moto Guzzis are pretty reliable, aren't they?
  20. First story has several embarrassing moments, long story short: I once managed to get my Transalp stuck in the bottom of a rocky trail and on the edge of a drop. Phone went out, spent a very cold day waiting for help, the help got lost and couldn't find me so were panicking assuming I was dead. Eventually it got dark and we couldn't see to get the bike out so it was left overnight. Next day I forgot the bike key at home and only realized 50km into the recovery trip! We got the fire departiment to winch it out, and then people proceeded to push me out because it wouldn't start. A while later I realized the ignition switch was off! Second story, I'm taking my girlfriend on a trip to the Algarve on our new (to us) R1150GS, the trip was to be a prelude to a Morocco trip later in the year, we're feeling adventurous and confident, the ride down the Atlantic coast is pretty nice with cliffs next to the ocean and pretty views, to stop for one of those views as soon as we approach the first cliffside I ride out of the street and after the first 20 meters of dirt hit a soft dirt patch and wash out the front. Down we went after 20 meters of dirt. Went from confident to embarrassed quite quick
  21. I can see this being a really cool bike to own. I wonder about protecting those exhaust manifolds though, I hope there's some valve cover protection solution that stops that being the first point of contact on a slow speed drop.
  22. An engine that's renowned for having a nice race like feel and liking high revs, with a tendency to over heat if going slow ... on an trail bike? It does look cool, on a drawing. I looked at their website a couple of days ago, they have three dealers here but a couple of those are like small customizing shops of not much credibility, if you search for service shops the closest in distance is in London , I think MV Agusta decided to partner with the chinese to maybe better their after sales assistance it's the blind leading the deaf ...
