  1. There’s a first time for everything
  2. I reckon I was on my second Suzuki Hayabusa 17 years ago. Awesome bit of kit and I’d have another in a heartbeat This is me on a track day at Donnington Park, surrounded by proper track bikes and I didn’t give a shit………my grin was wider than the Atlantic Ocean. ‘Kin ‘ell, that was faaaaaaast
  3. Forgot to say that track days with hire bikes at Cartagena circuit is also a possibility
  4. Okay mate, give me a day or so and I’ll pull something together
  5. Absolutely mate, they use old school XR250’s which are perfect for down here or alternatively they can provide guidance and help sort the logistics of staying down here if you bring your own bikes. It’s all very laid back but if you wanted something more extreme then that can be sorted too or even full on motorcross holidays. The good thing is there’s so much legal off roading down here that it’s never busy and as long as you stick to the trails and tracks and don’t tear across open countryside then the police are fine. You often see the Guardia Civil out on their XT660R’s down here. If anyone does think about coming down then let me know.
  6. Not unless I was forced to. I was picking up a bike from the KTM Centre in Hemel Hempstead and had to catch the train from Crewe to HH and my mate said he’d pick me up from the station and take me to the bike shop. The wanker turned up on his bike knowing how much I hate going pillion. Had no choice so I clambered on and off we went. Possibly the worst 15 mins of my life.
  7. That doesn’t help but it’s the attitude of the players and managers mostly. Throwing themselves around isn’t gamesmanship it’s cheating and it really fucks me off and the managers are no better because they encourage it. Cunts all of ‘em
  8. Well seeing as they were the only team out of two that played yesterday that got beat I guess that makes you Sherlock Holmes? I love the game but hate what it’s become.
  9. Definitely mate but my team got beat yesterday on the opening game of the Premiership so I’m keeping quiet.
  10. I plan to laugh my cock off when my cunt of a neighbour takes his newly purchased scooter out. Just because he’s on two wheels now doesn’t make him less of a cunt.
  11. Yeah it ain’t kind on tender knackers
  12. Just depends on my mood on the day. Some days I’m happy to bimble along at a sensible pace, this is mostly on the Himalayan as it lends itself to that kind of approach. Mind you, it can also be quick enough to keep up with more powerful bikes on tight, bumpy roads. If I’m on the CBR I find it impossible to not ride like a twat.
  13. Money is always the issue for me where bikes are concerned. The most I’ve had in the garage at any one time was four; a Kawasaki Versys 1000, Suzuki GSX1400, Honda XR650L and a Scorpa 250 trials bike. The big GSX1400 went because the Versys did everything it could do and plenty more, the trials bike went next because I was going to seriously hurt myself and then the XR650L because we were moving to Spain and it was about as far from standard as you could imagine and I did t have the original bits to get it onto Spanish plates. I imported the Versys onto Spanish plates………and then fucking sold it on a whim. Now I’ve retired and money is definitely tight I’ve had to settle for the Himalayan and a 22 year old CBR600. The point is I’m no less happy with two ‘inferior’ bikes. …………but if I had to have just one bike……
  14. What you didn’t say was what her reaction was? Perhaps she thought oh fuck no?
  15. My mate had one of those monstrosities but rode it like a motorcross bike because that’s all he knows. Fugly. On the other hand, that mock up of a new Suzuki Djebel is luverly.
  16. It’s nice but I prefer the proportions of this.
  17. Well I would have gone out on Sunday for a blast but I’ve agreed to play golf on Saturday with some mates. There, I’ve come out of the closet.
  18. Couldn’t have put it better myself and the ABS on the Himalayan is pretty crude and I’ve had a couple of times where the bloody thing wouldn’t slow down enough on very loose terrain. The best option I’ve had was in the KTM 690 Enduro whereby the aftermarket switch could turn off the rear ABS but leave the front active.
  19. It’s the only photo I’ve taken of the poor old thing this month so apologies for the lack of artistic flair and lack of effort on my part ?? Mind you, there is a very cute wild boar on the rocks behind.
  20. Wife’s makeup and false teeth ??
  21. Yep........a mate’s fancy dress birthday party a few years back. ?????
