  1. In my case it was too obvious
  2. I think it’s an age thing as there appears to be bugger all wrong with me and I find sometimes that I lose my balance ever so slightly. If you’re worried though @boboneleg you should get yourself checked out just for peace of mind.
  3. Not as light on your feet as you used to be? Really, I find that hard to believe.
  4. Is there any other kind of Harley @XTreme?
  5. You’re talking yourself into a new set of tyres mate, don’t bother until the current ones are fucked. Just get on it and ride it. It’s all in your head.
  6. Rally Raid do all sorts of kit for them, it ain’t cheap but apparently it’s top quality stuff, the only trouble is that a reasonably priced bike then becomes bloody expensive. I think you’ll enjoy it mate.
  7. My thoughts exactly, it’ll be an adventure.
  8. My mate’s got a Norden and traded his KTM 1190R for it. He much prefers the Norden.
  9. Inventive. I like that. I bet you were a Boy Scout Bob?
  10. Good point, seems they were all built off the same medieval buildings plans.
  11. Nice photos there @boboneleg and I’m bloody sure I’ve been to that square.
  12. Have a look for a Kawasaki Versys 1000, go for the ugly Mark 1 version. Cheaper than most, super comfy, as reliable as anything and faaaaaaaast if you need it. Wish I still had mine, it’s a proper wolf in sheeps clothing.
  13. Shame I’ve already sold the Himalayan mate or…………… …….seriously though, it’s gutting when you want something to be good and it just isn’t. Hope you get something better mate.
  14. Ride out on the z750 somewhere but no fixed plans yet. However, definitely goi g to drop in here as it’s only a few klms away.
  15. Been a busy boy but try and get some tomorrow
  16. The bike just keeps on giving…….had an official note from the vehicle tax office stating it’s so old it get tax free status……..every little helps
  17. Thanks for all the positive comments, it proves you can polish a turd
  18. Me too mate, the level of work required was well beyond my ability but luckily I have two very talented mates who love doing this sort of stuff.
  19. So, the old DR600S is nearing completion. All that remains is for me to order a new coil and HT leads and collect the seat from being reupholstered. New: coil and HT leads will set me back about €150 including tax and delivery whereas the reupholstered seat will set me back the princely sum of €35 from a local guy who does lovely work for not much cash. I can’t fucking wait.
  20. Thought you had a top box?
  21. I haven’t got any taste in anything
  22. ………..because some people are daft enough to believe they actually need one in their life. I test ride one of those when they first came out and it was fucking horrible; heavy, lardy, and frankly all round unpleasant. Most people buy them and never take them off road, using them only for touring about on. There are far better purpose built tourers for much less money and as for off road, they are a liability if the going gets tricky unless you are a very skilled rider. Have to say, the customer service at that dealer was very good and they had my Himalayan in the workshop for an hour and checked it over thoroughly which also means (hopefully) they do the same with all their bikes. Anyway, I’m not old or decrepit enough for a GS (yet!) …………I’m sure @Pedro will be along to defend the GS Brotherhood very soon.
  23. Agreed to swop over next Wednesday so I’ll let you know how it goes.
  24. Yep that’s right so I need to get a good deal. Looks better in the flesh……..the rider that is.
