Just looked on AliExpress and there is a CDI for £285.. But the one in photo looks nothing like the CDI that was fitted to my bike, could be a risky buy.

The early model WK650Tr used a CDI manufactured by Ducati Veglia (not Ducati bike manufacturer) and most of post 2016 bikes used a CDI manufactured by Bosch, but the earlier model cannot utilise the later Bosch CDI. The early model CDI seems to be made with unobtainium but with much searching one could be found in Alibaba (think that is what the site is called ) but they are a hefty price, around £450 . Iam on a Chinese bike forum, and a couple of members have purchased (a few years ago I must add) the said CDI from that site, but it took many weeks, in one case a couple of months to arrive. One of the problems with the Ducati Veglia CDI is that it is a poor design (stated by a guy on there who knows his stuff) and a new CDI would most probably (in his opinion) fail after a time, and he tried a couple of companies who specialise in repairing CDI units, and they were unable to effect repairs on the Ducati Veglia CDI. So, £700 for the bike, and £450 for the CDI,and if you paid for other repairs and a MOT it effectively makes the bike not a viable proposition.

Then I read the full description which read ok, till near the end. Non runner, it needs a cdi... Bugger.

It is the car insurance that I am dreading, last year it was £450 for a poxy, old, 1150cc Dacia, At the moment I have no plans to renew the scoots insurance. And they are both due for renewal on almost the same day in March.

My brother in laws mother is 102 years old, she has been, (in her words) at deaths door for the past 20 years.

I think it will the cheap pads that are causing the squealing, as I said, I will give them another coating of copper slip, and get my wife some ear defenders

Iam going to have (try) and box in the shit show of pipes under the new boiler, it looks a right mess, wish they had relocated the boiler into the cupboard where the hot water tank was in the past.

Did my discs & pads just before Christmas, and now the Dacia sounds like a 1970,s bus pulling up (so my wife tells me ) Offside is silent, nearside squeals like hell, went back to them and put copperslip on the backs, still squeals. Will have another look when the weather warms up.

The new boiler is installed, and a piss poor installation it is too. The radiators are hot, but not has hot as they were with the old boiler, same with the hot water from the taps.......... Thermostat has been set at 20c for 2 hours, and it has not shut off yet. We still have to sit under a blanket Will have a look online tomorrow, see if the water temp can be raised.

Yes it can, and does for many, it can also be accelerated by lifes situations, lack of communication (which I am now guilty of) and poor finances, diverging interests also can and do lead to a decline in romance, which leaves old married couples "Stuck in a rut"...

The phone call we received from the housing association said "The gas fitters will be with you at 8am, sorry for a early start, but the guys have a very busy day ahead of them" It is now 9.40am, and no show. Cuddling?...I don't think so. Here my wife, just before woke up fully..........and then told me to fuck off onto my own side of the of the bed.

They are coming tomorrow to fit a new boiler.
