It is something i try to avoid nowdays...

That maybe so, I want/need the new lamp 1st, don't want to bust the one that is in at the moment, I would have to put gaffer tape over the hole if i was not able to refit the non functioning light, i would end up with a tailgate full of water.
-
I did remove the trim, there are 2 holes which are directly behind the light, I can see in there and there are no screws, or what appear to be clips. I think @Catteeclan,s suggestion that the light unit just clips into the cut out in the tailgate, and needs levering out.... but as I say, I will most likely (definitely ) bust it in the process of removal, I will order a new one, which may give me the solution as to how it is fitted into the tailgate..
-
Yeh it's LED, I am not expecting that I can fix/repair/bodge it, just want to be able to remove it for when I have a replacement to be fitted...
-
After visiting my wife in hospital I thought I would take a look at the car. The high level brake light does not illuminate, took a gander at it, can I see how to remove it!, can I hell as like, no visible screws, looked on YouTube, it says there are 2 Torx screws?..so where the hell are they? Part 2 of the job tomorrow, I bet I bust it.

It's the way I have been bred.

I prefer Warburtons myself....

As I have said to @Saul we have been involved with Social Service before, they were no help, well very little help. Maybe I am being negative, but I have doubts that her condition will improve much, her age and the Osteoporosis will continue to be a problem. CISWO did more for us when we tried to make a previous Attendance Allowance claim (but it was denied)....... i will get my wife to give them a call when she is discharged from hospital What a pair We make, one almost crippled, the other deaf as a post, normal life? Forgot what's that like

Everything is centralised at King's Mill hospital, the others in Mansfield, or close by in the surrounding area were closed down years ago (Forest hospital...Ransom hospital....Harlow Wood to name the few I know) King's Mill became part or the Sherwood Hospital trust, which includes Newark hospital. As to respite care, I ain't got a clue where someone would go, or even if they had a place for respite cases..

Bugger! I could have took a photo on my epic ride to the hospital today.......I parked in the bike/motorcycle area, next to a R1, when I came out after visiting time he/she had moved the bike along 2 places!.

Our bungalow is OAP friendly, wide doors for wheelchair users, pull cord alarms in every room, and taps that help with poor strength and grip. As I may have said earlier, there are 6 of these bungalows, 5 out of the 6 have a Wet Room, guess which one does not?, we did apply for one when my wife's knees were bad, but it was refused by the housing association. She cannot lay in in our bed, she can't get in or out of it, so if they discharge her tomorrow it will be back to sleeping on the sofa. Red Cross says they are coming to see her at home, if! she is at home...........NHS, providing no help........what a shit show.
-
Have to wait till the doc comes to see her, and see what he says about treatment, or just discharge (fob off) her......
-
She has compression fractures in the middle/lower part of her spine, not helped I expect with her suffering from osteoporosis..... apart from a couple of X Ray's and giving her pain meds, that have very little effect, she has not even had a doctor visit her and tell her whats what......peace & quiet!. I have that all the time But I will make the most of the ride to the hospital later.....
-
BIG changes are going to be necessary when she eventually comes home, so much needs looking into, and doing......I can't ring up these agencies (for obvious reasons ) and they don't do hospital visits........
-
They had that Pay to View shit in this hospital, it was a total rip off, it only lasted about 2 years.........my wife has her Tablet with Sky Go on it, logs into the hospital Wi Fi and watches tv on that. It could be a long stay for her in the hospital, so i hope I can go on the scoot as much as possible...... Thanks Lyn...
-
Just back from visiting my wife in the Hospital, it costs £5..50p to park the car for 2 hours, i hope the weather forecast is correct, then I can go on the scoot tomorrow........free parking!.
-
Maybe some sleet showers on Friday here, then a cold (5c) but sunny day forecast for Saturday.....
-
Gone back to cloudy now, still dry though.
-
Sunshine! And bit of blue sky!!

So today I spent a couple of hours working in the Dacia this afternoon......the Sat Nav & Dash Cam have been removed, and also the original CD/Radio put back in, gave it a bit of a clean out too, I may put it on Marketplace next weekend, hope I get a better response than I did with the scoot.

I still have the scars from doing the spark plugs on my VFR ....apart from plugs, oil/air filter and oil change I never had to take a spanner to mine. It was originally a French registered bike, bought it from Granby motorcycles who sold many imported bikes, They MOTed it when I bought it, at the next MOT it failed because the headlight was for countries driving on the right of the road, i couldn't (or afford) get a UK headlight for it at the time, so i sold it cheap.

The 305 was a 1986 model, i had it around 1995, and if I member correctly it had 22,000+ miles on the clocks, it handled fine, and was fast enough for the riding I did, but for a 305cc bike it felt very small,
-
Mine may have lasted longer if I had known about the oil strainer/pickup blocking problem.
-
I had a GPZ 305, the belt on that snapped, I went to the Kawasaki dealer for a new one....he said "That will be £150 please!" ......I converted it to chain, think the kit cost me £40........then the damn thing devoured it's camshaft....
