After hunting down the proper tools to finish this project, I can honestly say the back porch is ready for Winter... It did get frustrating at times trying to just hold on to the screw gun & the new electric shear I bought to trim down the metal for the oddball sized panels....blasted hook can be real PITA sometimes. But at least it's done... now onto getting the lawn mowed & getting my 2nd truck running properly...hopefully just a fuel filter change.

My '83 VF Sabre w/ the old skool Windjammer was hard to beat when the weather turned sour...ample hand protection & a created vacuum over the gauges that stirred up the heat from the motor to help keep the front of my 1-piece rain-suit reasonably dry... do miss that Corbin seat though...quite comfy.

Spot on, I feel the cold because of the heart meds I’m on. I got the right thermal gear to wear but it’s not always convenient to change out of it at work so I appreciate it’s difficult for our friend with Reynards to ride to work in the colder months. She will be better off when she passes her test and can get something with more protection to ride. Her little CBR is good as 125s go but not ideal for cold weather commuting.

There's nothing worse than being cold on a bike, i can deal with getting wet but can't stand getting cold

The hot grips were a birthday present for my daughter’s friend who I got through her CBT. She is a genuine keen biker who sufferers from Reynard’s Syndrome so gets very cold extremities. Perfect gift I thought from our family to her as she commutes to Truro so genuinely needs them.

I'm curious as to how you guys clean or treat your jackets and pants to keep them waterproof. I have had poor luck with it so far, but I think the sun and dryness affect the stuff I wear a little more than you guys.

Best winter protection I have is the house.

Best weather protection I had was my 1978 BMW R100RS, that bathtub fairing was excellent. To be fair my CBF600S with a touring screen isn't at all bad but the BMW was king with two bloody great cylinders keeping your feet warm and dry.

If you got the cash get a Jacket and trousers with a Gortex liner. Near perfectly waterproof bu pretty spendy. I have a Richa textile jacket and trousers with a D3O or some list of letters like that liner and I have never got wet in it. My leather isn’t very waterproof at all neither are the two wax cotton jackets I have. Bike jeans obviously not. I also have single layer romper like rain suit Richa brand and that is a leaky bastard good at stopping wind though.

I love the way you're thinking. Only problem is I'm too old to shag away half of everything I own and my Mrs knows that, plus I have gotten used to her now.
