Maybe
All rebuilt and ready to go on. Probably won’t swap them over until next week now, don’t fancy stripping the bike before my weekend’s commute. Don’t want to be trouble shooting without sleep. Just in case.
Sorry to hear about your buddy Marcel. I rode my bike to work earlier this week as the shitty constant roadworks around here mean getting in by car takes a half hr longer than by bike. Filtering down between the lines of standing and slow moving traffic the number of people with their heads down staring at a phone was unbelievable.
I took a few photos @Six30, but they are on my phone, can't log onto the forum on the phone, forgot my password
Monday was dry and warm, but the wind was howling.
Tuesday....dry, breezy but warm.
Wednesday.....the same.
Today....very humid, and a couple of very heavy downpours..
Home now.... oh a comfy sofa, and a decent sized bed.
As you might know, my Hornet came with it when I bought it.
I wouldn't spend 950€ for it either.
For me it looks way better than the stock exhaust and sounds a bit better.
Performance wise I don't think it changes much.
Yeah that was part of the reason I chose the Delkevic can. I would have loved a SC but they are very expensive for a better noise. Circa £900 whereas the Delkevic looks like and sounds like for £270 and has a decent reputation. . At the end of the day for a real improvement in actual performance it would have to be a full de-cat system with a remap. I’m not sure I am really interested in doing that. I have never thought, in the two years I’ve had the Hornet, that it didn’t have enough power. If I genuinely wanted to go faster I would buy a real sport bike.
I don't think so, I just like things to look and be right. I think what was annoying me was the rear calliper was still the original gold and the front ones were black. If they were all the same colour I probably wouldn't have bothered.
Well I fitted a UK legal Delkevic titanium S-Oval end can on my Hornet today. I am pretty pleased with it to be honest, sounds good, fair bit deeper but not obnoxiously loud. I don't think it makes much if any difference to power but it sounds faster . Original end can was 7kg the new one is 1.45kg.
