  1. Snowed pretty good again last night... then it cleared off & got colder....14f when we got up. This type of snow motivates me to break out the skis!...

  7. Not my home - the wife is from there. She hasn't been back for 45 years but wants to move there - so off we go as soon as the Colorado house sells. I'm moving the bikes and my shop now though.

  17. The weather has been shitty for the past weeks so I haven't ridden the hornet that much. My first impressions will be comparing it to the CB500F as it's the only reference that I have. So, the clutch lever is a bit heavier than the 500 but still light. The gearbox is as smooth or even a bit smoother than the CB. Power wise, it's a total different world. The Hornet is a beast! I was used to the 47hp and this one, with almost double of that, is a monster and I'm scared of it. It's the good kind of fright though, as it makes me want more seat time to get it tamed. Other than that, I miss the heated grips and today I got the windshield. Haven't ridden it with it on yet.

  25. Swedes and Norwegians love either high revving american V8s or highly turboed european 5 and 6 cylinders. Give them a strong turbo european 8 or 10 and they’ll go insane. You see, they either get drunk for the winter or build an engine, I think it’s both

  26. Same vintage & color as the Camaro I had....mine was just small-block power'd & nowhere near that quick though. Pretty cool seeing those smokey black stripes appear outta the corners...

  29. The boy fancies a Volvo v40. He's found another he likes but no car play/android or parking sensors but it's 2 grand cheap than the others we've seen. There's after market stuff available so I guess he'll be going for this one. Today I've been searching for info on a coolant temp level sensor on a ford petrol 1600 turbo focus. Turns out these sensors were added to the cars by recall as when they overheat the heads warp leaking oil onto the turbo and the lot goes up in flames. Rather than keep it simple, these sensors also have a controller fitted and then it all goes into the can bus. So all I can do is check for earth, voltage and the 2 can signals which were all present, I don't have an oscilloscope or the knowledge to use one so it's fingers crossed on the level sensor or take it to the ford dealers. I must admit I've quiet enjoyed looking into it, prob something to do with sitting on me arse.

  30. Not into that then. Must admit to leaving it on and doing the housework, couldn't watch it all. Reminds me of Pete with the empty roads and riding by himself.

  36. I've talked to the sales man and told him I didn't like the short (120mm) levers on the Hornet. He told me I could swap them with the ones I had (160mm) on the CB500F. So I went to the dealership to get the Hornet's original exhaust and to swap the levers. I also really needed to go back to the dealership as I couldn't find the 2nd Key of the CB500F the day I went there to get the Hornet.
