I see you have a steering wheel on your Indian now. Good to see you have a step to get up on it now as well with you being so short.2 points

It would certainly fit a 6’1” short rider.2 points

Very naughty to take his money probably knowing they wouldn’t deliver the bike. A couple of clients have done a similar thing to me, delay writing checks to next day and then go into administration overnight1 point

That 3 wheeled BMW engined thing Original pump failed, my x boss got a new one and got it running, rough though. Called me in to see what I could do and the new pump wouldn't go. He sent it back and got another and away it went again. I go out there a few days later and the new pump has stopped working. I bring it home and get it going after slapping it around and refit although the pump sounds rough it fires up. Went and stuck some new plugs in this afternoon and sure enough the pump won't work again. Gonna suck some fuel as a sample to be sure but I suspect chinesium shit.1 point

Sort of explains where all the old Monsters went then. I remember them being pretty common in the early 2000's can't remember the last time I saw one.1 point

Yep and if you want to feed a fire with pound notes buy a sailing boat. We did and learnt a lesson from it.1 point

A mate of mine had the Benelli 502c for a while and absolutely loved it. Comfortable, plenty of poke and it looks different but luggage is a bit limited I think. Maybe the 350 Meteor or the Hunter could be a good option. Also the Leoncino 500 goes well.1 point

Just had a message from another mate on FB about the monster, apparently he and the seller put a borescope down the bores last year to diagnose low compression. Two big scores in the Nikasil liner on the front pot. Definitely a no from me then.1 point

Never heard of that, I guess it's like our Hammerite before they fucked it up with a new woke formula.1 point

I would imagine it’s a dog. Belonged to an ex teacher who lived across the road from me. He ran a Paso into the ground years ago and then bought this monster. I haven’t seen it for years but I’m in no doubt it rough in every way, knowing who owned it originally. Sounds like it maybe a pass then. I don’t need an ornament I can’t afford to fix. I might wait for an older CBR600 or a tatty Blade as at least I have more of a clue about them and can get parts.1 point

It's a 24 year old Ducati so unless it's been very well looked after it'll be rough. What service history does it have and when was the last time it was worked on ? Belts having been done is good but carbs needing work could be difficult as parts are hard to get. What's the condition of the fuel tank ? If it's been stood for a while then the fuel tank will need looking at as they suffer from water ingress so it may be rusty inside. The shock mounts will be probably be seized and brake calipers will need attention. Is it £300 to you because you're a mate or is it £300 because it's a dog and you'll have to spend £1500 to get it roadworthy ?1 point

What about the new Himalayan? I saw one the other day, I little underpowered but it looks good and the finish looks like it will survive the winters.0 points
