I wouldn't worry about it Saul the bike hasn't done massive miles and to explain how robust the chains are, on one of my learner bikes the cam chain was so slack it wore through the cam chain tunnel on the cylinder casting and was exposed to all the crap off the road. I changed the cam chain and fixed the hole with instant gasket and carried on using the bike4 points

Weather is great here at @Sofia’s. Too warm though, and too busy out so won’t even bother with the bike. Bloody summer heat and summer tourists!4 points

Popped up to Liskeard for chequered flag bike night. Only stayed long enough for a coffee and a quick. Chat only about 15 bikes when we were there but more were pulling in as we left. Couple of Vicars turned up with big white crucifixes on their backs. Load of women from Plymouth behaving like arseholes all drama and fuss. Few normal guys but don’t know if I will bother again. Of course no show without punch performing Nice Panzer, I like that, especially that it is single seated Cool blade, but had to explain to Shadow it was a Honda not a Repsol. Fantic 700 Vicars ADV750 scoot CBR 650, I could see one of those in Shadow’s future I didn’t mind the red VFR. The hands are Shadows, she was sticking with me and dancing, her ADHD was kicking in because of the noise. When the biker chicks turned up with their pantomime I took Shadow home as their carry on spiked her anxiety and she got really stressed. Not used to adults behaving like that.3 points

30 to 33 here, it’s quite warm when it’s 30 and over in a breezy Atlantic town. Back in my place in the countryside only 80km away it’s 38. At least there will be wine in the balcony enjoying the cool evening breeze. I’ll take a picture.3 points

It had a custom made sidecar attached. Look at the size of the wheels as well. Probably should have taken a photo of the whole but it was just so hideous. Didn't interest me.3 points

Well I got my CBF back in June and it had a manual cam chain tensioner fitted. I wasn't worried as I heard it running before I bought and it sounded pretty sweet, no rattles that I could hear. Anyway I have been catching up with different things over the last 2000 miles and I though it was time to adjust the Cam chain and set a datum of it being done. And yes I have have given some thought to getting a proper Honda replacement Auto tensioner, as the originals have a reputation for failing and there is a upgraded part available from Honda for £60. In the mean time I thought I could hear a very faint cam chain rattle when the bike was cold. I watched a few Youtube vids on adjusting the manual tensioner and it was all pretty straight forward. So I did just that. Basically the consensus said that you screw the tensioner bolt in finger tight then back it off a quarter turn then tighten the lock nut. Easy peasy. Set about doing the deed and to my surprise the tensioner needed 6 full turns in before i could set it. It looks to me like the previous owner fitted it but never adjusted it. Now at this point I think I have dodged a bullet by not trashing the motor, I have done 2k miles at all speeds even a prolonged 40 mile run at 80-100 mph. Not real sign of cam chain noise and pretty healthy power to be fair. Also good mpg. Not sign of distress but then again the bike was new to me I thought all was good. Anyway post adjustment the bike shows noticeable improvement. Sounds much sweeter than it did, revs up quicker and is noticeably less rough at high revs. Also the bike feels much more responsive in the higher rev range. Obviously it's a matter of small improvements overall but still noticeable. Feels like a newer fresher bike. I just thank my lucky stars I didn't find out the hard way. Testament to the overall quality of these Honda fours. As an aside I reckon I have used up about half the available adjustment in the manual adjuster now what that indicates in terms of the life of the chain I don't know but I am not going to lose any sleep over it while the bike is running so well.2 points

Got mine just after lunch, took the bike out for a jot around, picked up some spark plugs and some high heat epoxy, bought a new Dremel as the old one has packed up, only lasted 18 years. Went down to Costco and filled up with premium for £1.41 a litre, twats. Went to look at a house, or more precisely the neighbourhood, seemed quite nice, people sat in their gardens in the sun, struck up a conversation with a chap who was clearing his hedge, told him I was thinking of buying there, he gave me the rundown and complimented the Harley, may contact the selling agent and arrange a viewing. Back home now about to tuck into a pizza.2 points

Yer absolutely. It's definitely not that a bunch of bitter pack animals chased off a decent person. Oh NO He definitely displayed some form of deviance or weakness at some point so it's their fault.... Pete in his own way embraced difference. He may not of absolutely carried it out cleanly but he was clear about equality.1 point
