Well I am on my 3rd bike this year. Started on the Himalayan, got the CB500F in January then traded up to the Hornet in early October. Been a bit of a whirlwind really but really happy where I ended up. Love the Hornet and intend to keep it for some time. I have had a shit year health wise, won't bore you with the details, but on the mend now. My family is all good, youngest has a grip on her mental health issues and is happy, middle one is happy, as always, and in College starting her last year. Oldest has a steady job now, which is something I though I never would say, and appears to be happy. The Darkness is ok and the dear boy is in rude health so all as good as I could expect really. Had an adventure with a different job that didn't work out so back out of hours with the NHS. Happy in my work so can't moan to much.5 points

It's isolated......but people post about it on FB etc and what is a relatively small number of affected machines suddenly seems like a big issue. Cos you never hear from the hundreds of thousands of owners who've had no issues.2 points

It doesn't happen to all of them.......I think mine would have gone by now if it had a bad pump.2 points

OK.....time to tell us how good, or bad, 2023 was for you. In my case it was one of the worst of all time. I went into it suffering from Long Covid, and then came the most severe case of flu I've ever known. That went on for about two months, with multiple doses of antibiotics for secondary infections. The resulting cough was so strong that it caused the fucking Hernia. Then the grandkids left the town in early May. It was sad to see them go, but that was offset somewhat by the jubilation of seeing Fatty fuck off! Everybody who ever had any contact with her in the town thought she was really fucking weird! I then spent the rest of the year having to carry the Hernia as best I could. Getting on and off the bike was difficult, any bump or movement when riding was unpleasant, and when I could get off it any standing or walking gave me a lot of grief. Ended up only doing about 2500kms / 1500 miles in the entire year. December 5th I had the op.......meaning I couldn't ride over Xmas and New Year. At the moment I'd estimate mid to late January before I can get back out! Though knowing my luck the weather will be hell by then and put the kybosh on it. Livin' the fucking dream I am! Anyway.......tell us about your 2023?1 point

I have met several CB500 riders over the summer only one mentioned having water pump issues. Doesn't prove anything but just my experience.1 point

I pay €40 a month for unlimited everything wherever I am in the world on Vodafone, and €60 a month for 600MB Fibre Optic, Telephone, and two other mobile lines with Excom who are my ISP. Sure......I could save money by ditching Vodafone, but the coverage and reliability isn't as good on the other providers......plus the Taxman pays for it so why bother?1 point

Actually, I'm voting for the photo of the year which contains a motorcycle (Sofia's photo actually shows 2 Bikes). For me, "Bike of the Year" means much more than just a simple picture of a Bike, so I decided to give my vote to the one that spoke to me more than the others.1 point
