  2. Here is the thread for submission of your pictures for Bike Of the Month September, on the 25th I'll start a poll for voting. @XTreme, sticky thread? This time I think we're better not having two votes, it never occurred to me that there would be no way of settling a possible tie , what do you guys think? Also, no tractors, cars, lawnmowers, washing machines, sowing machines, trikes, quads, buses, boats, and other vehicles other than motorcycles will be accepted, but nothing stops you from submitting pictures though, tractors are particularly popular

  3. I had one and loved it. Solid bike and capable as a distance tool or thrashing around the Derbyshire trails.

  10. Feeling a bit cheesed off i couldn't use the bike after rebuilding the rear shock this morning due to a new corvid lockdown, but after reading the rules for the area I discovered it was only stopping me from leaving or entering Rhondda Cynon Taff which consists of five valleys so plenty of places to ride without breaking the lockdown rules. I started off going up a lane i haven't been to for years the main route is now blocked by fallen trees so had to go around on this path This is back on the route but i see there are more trees down ahead The bike doesn't feel right its slipping all over the place and i fall off after getting over the fallen tree behind the bike. I decided to have a look ahead before i go to the trouble of negotiating all the fallen trees glad i did the trail is washed out and looked worse further up so made the decision to turn around especially as i was dressed for the winter and it was bloody boiling out The next lane is a few miles further up the valley and the bike performs flawlessly on the road there. At the gate to the lane i decide to reduce the tyre pressures as i know this lane is washed out and tricky in places, looks like i need a new pressure gauge on my compressor i put 15psi in but my mobile pump is showing over 20psi drops the pressure front and rear to about 12psi Reducing the pressures made all the difference the bike feels like it should now no more of that sliding about. I stop at this memorial bench someone has fitted since my last ride up here to admire the view and i also wanted to watch a landrover that was coming up behind me negotiate some of the washed out bits on the way up The view from the bench is great but a bit windy which i didn't mind as it helped me cool down That's Penrhys in the middle distance the shitty in the sky and i didn't spell city wrong there, it used to be a real rough area to live Here comes the Landy I stopped to talk to the landy driver a bit further up, he was doing the same as me with his boy and he shared a video of me getting off and on the bike lol I stalled the bike and when i put my foot down to save it the bloody kick start lever went up my trouser leg and my foot never got to the ground anyhow that's not important lol the next bit was through a bit of forestry not as wet as the last time i was here the next lane i didn't stop for any photos so after that it is up by Penrhys. I like this one because it goes through a golf course and you can see the contempt on some of the golfers faces as you ride through Further on And Heading home only a short ride but really picked me up

  11. I think they were never sold here. But we had street legal XR600R and the NX650, maybe Honda thought the L would be too much of an effort for a small gain.

  12. I really want to try the XR650L i really want one but a test ride would to put it to rest either way for me.

  13. No.......same as DR650.....not available here due to emissions. As is the case with the UK. If I could get a new DR650 I'd get one tomorrow......no hesitation.

  14. I meant having only one vote, meaning no primary vote and then the second one like last month.

  15. Done! And I agree one member/one submission is the only way to do it to level the playing field! Otherwise the odds are always stacked against the one bike people!

  16. Took a short run to Orce cos I had to see somebody there......and what do you know? A bunch of Moto Club Fuckwits sitting around doing fuck all when they could be riding. It was the usual entourage of Beemers, along with a Triumph and a couple of Harleys! And as per usual, 1970's Brit Greasers in worn out jackets and ripped jeans riding Parts Bin Specials get blanked! Suits me just fine......I've spent my life not wanting to belong. I leave such desires to my old toothless mate! A short vid first...... Billy No Mates Strom being ostracised........ Weapons of choice for Moto Club Fuckwits....... Most of them looked too old and too short for their bikes.......so I had the Camera ready just in case of mishaps! And for some strange reason today I felt in sync again with the Strom again. Weird!

  17. Wouldn’t you be tempted with the faired 250? Probably a lot better for tarmac, and you’re not likely to take it on mud.

  22. ohhh, that is tempting....not as cute as the Honda, but maybe that's a good thing. ? Still, to be able to trade in the Strom for what you paid, nice. I don't really know you, but the GS seems more your style. How much lighter is it though? That Honda is easy to move around I bet.

  23. Well you know...I was lucky and found love when I was young and it just worked from day one! I'm not a spring chicken or an old hen, just one of those middle aged chickens that has lots of fun.... ??

  24. Beginning to wonder if his mishap on film was staged Bob! Let's be honest.....it was hell of a coincidence that somebody else was up there at the same time to film it. But I don't mind.....I encourage anything that'll put bums on seats here! Just waiting to see if he pisses his pants next!

  27. But there's another sting in the tail! The dealer in Granada that I spoke to about the G650GS mailed me earlier to tell me it had gone! BUT.......he's got another 2015 one in........with even LESS miles (11K). And the condition looks even better than the first which was pretty impressive! The deal would be the Strom plus €1500........and the Beemer comes with a year's warranty. It's very tempting!

  28. I'm not likely to even find mud Pedro......we've had many years of dry Winters and the reservoirs are now at their lowest points ever.
