  3. After only riding street bikes all my life, I am still learning about the joys of riding in the mud and dirt. Damn, the front sprocket area can fill up fast, looks like an archaeological dig in here. Lesson learned! ?

  5. Couple of points on the new version.......if you're using on Mobile there's now a bottom bar with quick links. And for desktop, if a thread becomes popular with a lot of posts then a side bar pops up on the right giving stats and a summary: Example HERE!

  6. only Winnie the pooh fans will get that one... Just popped in to say that I'm not dead yet, just been flat out at work, the French have taken to heart the idea that holidaying in France is neccessary this year so they have, massively, but for the French "holiday" means July or August, nut June and not september, so we have been at running at full capacity from 10th July to end August (which though excellent is not going to make up for the other 6 months of running at either 0 or 5 %... ) with just myself and the company owner working rather than him, me and 3 techniciens. needless to say I have nearly as many hours overtime owed as I have holiday still to take so It has been" work, eat, sleep, repeat" for the last month and a bit. It has now gone quiet again so I'll be back with more tales of derring do from Burgundy shortly, Starting on sunday when I will be attending an off road motorcycle training session with a professional instructor, given as a birthday present from Mme Moon. it's going to take me a while to catch up with everything on here but normal service will be resumed as soon as poss. ?

  14. I'll probably buy a custom one and then make custom edits Bruce. The thing is, when the software radically changes then all previous designs go out the window. If I buy a commercial one they update them incrementally so you're never caught out. If I continue doing my own I'm going to be redoing the styling every 6 months or so. I just don't have the time.

  17. He's got a holiday place on the Costa del Sol.......so his missus flies there and him and Buddy come on the bike. He spends about a week touring, then a few days with the wife.......and then rides back, while she flies back. I could never swing that one with my missus.

  18. Nearly a year ago I met a FB friend here when he was on tour with his R1250GS and Buddy the dog in a cage on the back. He's over here again at the end of the month (with Buddy) and he wants to go Dark Motorcycling. Oh god......what have I started?

  21. Now we've had a fair bit of rain recently so I was trying to decide whether or not to do the next lane. You have to ride in a stream for about 400yds and it can get deep but I decided to go for it. Unfortunately the photos are crap as the sun was coming though the bushes and one more narrow lane down over the hill to Stanton Prior before heading home..............

  22. Next I dropped down over Ubley Drove where you get a great view of Blagdon Lake......... and then some more old lanes that I haven't ridden for about 5 years, it was good to ride these local lanes again..... Then I did the climb up Guy's Hill. This photo is taken from the top looking down (you have to ride back down it) but it doesn't do justice to the steepness of this lane. It's a great climb over rocks and tree routes but can be a real bitch when it's wet.......

  23. Onto an old Drove Way on the Mendip Hills near Priddy........ This lane was well overgrown, this is what happens when you restrict the lanes from vehicular use, they get overgrown and then no one can use them

  24. A lovely UCR (unclassified county road) looking down towards Shepton Mallet........ The next couple of lanes were a tad 'moist' after all the recent rain.......... Morning Girls , this lot made me chuckle...........
