I'd just get it, it looks in decent condition so wouldn't take much to flip it

It needs a bit of work, headstock bearing,  and a blow on one header pipe, simple enough to fix, and not too much expense.

If (I can't 😂) got it I would use it, not very often I know (I don't get out much 😂) but not to sell on.

I had GPZ500 in the past, a decent enough bike, just the damn thing liked to corrode & and rust quickly...

Blimey

That was the cheapest, and it was with some insurance company that I have never heard of, i am with Swinton (£75 for the scoot) who funnily were not on the list of quoting companies. 🤔

There must be better options than that, my CBF600 was only £90 ish.

Maybe because I have reached 71yo

Fail Old Man GIF

My daughter lives 200 yards from us, she is 40 yo has had 1 accident in the past, drives a 1600cc car, and her insurance is bit cheaper than mine. 🤔

I did ask why my insurance is high, they just said..your age...or postcode that could flag up insurance problems too, was a bit vague.

I have looked on the Meerkat site (other providers are available 😂) and the prices are the same....

I have other things to consider (car rear axle) that will require funds, so I will stick with the scoot, only costs me about £150 per year..

Fuck that's depressing Clive, given that I am only 10 years or so younger 🙄

My insurance did rocket up the year before last when Ivan the Pole reversed into my parked car and stoved in the drivers side door, maybe that showed up somewhere on the insurance database. 🤔

I nearly fell foul to the Ivan incident,  I saw him hit my car, I got to his car before he drove off,  cos I had feeling he was going too.

Looked at my door and said I need your insurance details

To which Ivan said, i not want to do insurance.. You take to garage, they repair...give me bill, I pay.

Nope, it's going through insurance, he reluctantly gave me his details.

It was about 4 weeks from the start of the accident to getting my car back.  New door was needed.

I went to my daughters house just after I got the car back,  and guess what?.....Ivan had buggered off back to Poland about 2 weeks earlier!..

Glad I did it through the insurance...or I would have been stuffed with the repair bill.

He knew he was going back then, basted. The bad thing is you'll be paying as you had a claim.

I honestly do not know if his or if my insurance covered the damage repairs, more than likely it was mine, because my renewal quote went up £100+.

My Mrs had something similar a few years again.  A  woman visited our neighbour and reversed into the Mrs CRV and fecked the back bumper, the womans insurance paid but my Mrs premium still went up as she had a recorded claim even though it wasn't her fault given that she was sitting in the living at the time.
