Nute Posted Tuesday at 20:21 Share Posted Tuesday at 20:21 Stopped at Southampton hospital on the way home from work to see a friend who had brain surgery last week. He had a non cancerous tumour around the nerve from his ear, removing it kills the nerve so he is deaf on that side and has lost some of the nervous control to parts of one side of his face, but given what he has been through he is doing pretty well. Makes you grateful to be (mostly) healthy.

The last time I went there after a BMW Bike meet at Abergavenny Bus station in 2006 it was pretty rough in Newport I was a bit apprehensive when were invited by Bois Y Brynn to sing in their Pirates of the Port Festival. But the lads wanted to go so we did. Had a great weekend in good company, really felt a much nicer place. You can see a lot of money has been invested there. I particularly liked singing in the Corn Exchange and Fire and Ice. Also had good sets in Le Pub and the Cab. I would go back in a heartbeat but the lads want to try elsewhere as we don't get to go away as a group more than once or twice a year. Prices for everything were good as well. I don't drink but my mate told me he was paying £3 to £3.90 for guiness. It's £8 to £9 down here.
