Cam shaft runs in them, oil feed better at a guess.
And they're blue.:dancebanana:

They give more consistent oil pressure especially at low rpm and I'm prove scavenging which reduces oil pressure in the heads to improve valve timing. It's worth a couple of hp but the real benefit is the improved lubrication which means I can run the more aggressive cams.

The more aggressive cams that the post office may have lost apparently.

Agressive cams? It’ll become a torque monster!!!

It should increase the torque by around 25%.

I will assemble the cam plate and prep the oil pump and fit them on Tuesday weather permitting.

All the rusty bits would drive me nuts but I guess you get a lot of salt on the roads up there near the North Pole.

That's the extended brake pedal, the chrome is a bit shit on it.

I'm going to soak the lifters overnight and put them in tomorrow. I need to replace the clutch cable and then fit the exhaust and the new air filter and load a base tune into the ECU for the cams.

About time, thank fuck you're not charging labour by the hour or you would owe yourself a feckin fortune.

The work is of such a high standard it would still be a bargain.

Pushrods and lifters are all in, clutch cable is attached to the gearbox. I decided to do some painting on a few bits before I refit the exhaust as it will be a pain to do afterwards so got that done and put the bike away to let the paint dry properly. Will finish up during the week.
