  1. There's alway a bit of good at the end of the day.
  2. Didn't bother going out last night. Since Mandi came back sh'e been fighting an allergic reaction. It's got worse and she's scratching herself all over. The doc has given her some medication but she's very nervous to take it as she has previous with it and ends up with migraines. So she went and sat in a hot bath last night which seemed to work for a while. Cinema could be fun this afternoon.
  3. Update. Just been online to see when the film finishes. It's over 3 hours long FFS. Roast's off.
  4. I've seen pictures of the holiday makes of old getting off the trains etc but the best are of them on the beach sitting in deck chairs with blazers shirt and ties.
  5. Food shop and got the multi band gig on again tonight. After dealing with a hangover, Mandis taking me to the pictures to watch the new Avatar film. Then round No 2 sons to see the grandkids and have a Sunday roast stuck in front of us. Weathers not to bad here being dry and close to double figures but no time for bikes this weekend.
  6. Close, Gt Yarmouth. I had a letter through the door letting me know they're planning to restore it. The "cake tin" next to it is going and once complete It'll be made into an open area. Thought I'd snap a couple of pics before it all goes tits up.
  7. Nice choice of colour. Trading the Enfield?
  8. Been thinking the same as my granddaughters had a cold last week so thought I was getting another. Maybe there's something more to the "cold" I've been dealing with.
  9. I didn't like the amount of oil coming out of the plastic covers while they were still running when I was still at the garage.
  10. Just been on the news, the welsh ruby fans have had the Tom Jones song Delilah ban. The lyrics are responsible for a "growth in household abuse after matches", not the alcohol or all the banter against the opposing team. WTFs this world coming to.
  11. @Six30 you seeing many belt failures on these too? My old place of work has had a run of rotting belts jumping teeth, breaking and debree blocking the oil pick up on the eco boost and little pugs. Who's idea was it to run a Timing belt in oil. Edit, I'm also told the AA have had some of the same on the pug engined transits too.
  12. No I haven't thanks. Aren't all the best ideas simple ones.
  13. Just a wind farm erecting vessel. Most of the crew are Chinese. She just gone to bed so hung out well.
  14. Plans to come back to bath again if not only for that, Nice one Bob.
  15. Done next to FA today. Mandi got back from Singapore about 9.30 this morn and is doing almost everything possible to stay awake till about 7 tonight trying to get herself back into British time. All they had to eat was chicken, pork and beef with either rice or noddles although the salad bar took a hammering after all were bored of the same thing. First thing she had when home was a bowl of wheatabix with cold milk, went and had a costa coffee then home for bacon butties. Northern girl through and through.
  16. My daughter was keen to get a bike but Mum decided no, "she has no fear and will die". I got a ts50 for her but it had to go. That said I love it when she's riding with me. Constantly shrieking and laughing, not to mention the numb bum song. That normally happens when we're getting close to Manchester. She's going for her second driving test at the end of Feb as mum thinks she's a little safer in a car.
  17. I worked for an insulation firm shortly after leaving school. Had 2 spells at Bernard Matthews. When we were outside it was ok but inside the stink was bloody awful. Didn't quit but I'm sure it crossed my mind.
  18. Red Cross will take them
  19. We have a Red Cross near us which lent us a wheel chair for grandad before he passed on and also crutches for my son when he was trying to show off in front of a young lady and failed miserably.
  20. Photoshop skills at their finest.
  21. Think it was 4.7 miles on the path. Time we got back we’d covered 11 miles and no one single moan from the girl. Would have been a different story 10 years ago.
  22. Walked from Cowes to Newport and back today along an old railway track now cycle path. As usual not much to take a pic of but did find this old kiln site. Last time here I never spotted this but guessing it was hidden by the leave which are now everywhere other than where they should be.
  23. I just skim read that and was thinking jrts was an alcoholic drink of some sort.
