Been meaning to ask you:
my macbook air is 9 years old now, it’s not led an easy life since it’s been a passenger on most of my touring and most weekend rides, including all the extreme heat that goes with often going to southern Portugal inside a plastic box. It got a new battery 3 or 4 years ago, but is starting to need another, I never felt that the replacement matched the original. Now, I’m determined to make it last 10 years of use, and it will, but after that would there be a rebuild that should be done or am I better with getting a new faster better one, will it in fact be better?
There’s things that will start to fail slowly on this one, like the charging port magnet, the left caps key, plus it could do with being faster connecting to wifi and dealing with the windows modulator that I use to update an excel spreadsheet from a spanish server. It could be the spanish server fucking it all up, for being spanish, but it’s also a 9 year old laptop on this side.
The question, new macbook air when this one turns 10? It’s got cool stickers you see
