  1. Also, it's funny how old tires always seem like worthy of keeping for 1 or 2k more until you get out of tarmac, isn't it?
  2. It's probably to hold the motorcycle tent on strong winds, pretty sure a bike thief can deal with two little screws.
  3. Lovely roads there, and nice views, apart from the muddy ruts
  4. He'll be the first one to notice and point it out, too. The twat. Something happy happens inside me when I call him a twat.
  5. I don't really care for fighting but I'll watch that if it's available somewhere. Be it boxing or motorcycling or football or whatever, there's something great when a true world champion remembers people why he was world champion to begin with. If Mike Tyson brings his previous fighter mind back he'll bulldoze the dude.
  6. Translates to: "I asked and she said it's ok"
  7. He also may accentuate it on purpose, to sound extra british, because he's a twat.
  8. You're right. Honda's even worse, they put it on the "premium GS level" expensive Africa Twin and all the others get shit
  9. That was you being kind to him? Had to look Adenoidal up, learned a new word today! In my fantasy it would be a white or black single seat R50, 60 or 69S.
  10. I suppose they're ok if you stay out of the more modern faster roads and keep to those 40 to 60mph "period" speeds? I sometimes think about flying to Italy or Germany and pick up an old bike to ride back home on back roads. My lack of real mechanical ability kind of doesn't match that fantasy though.
  11. That's one great looking travel bike!
  12. Even the chinese put tubeless spoked wheels on bikes, what's taking Yamaha and Suzuki so long?
  13. Like politics, leave something be and in 50 years it goes back to being in fashion.
  14. 850 for tires for a bicycle? They're more than motorcycle tires?
  15. You think it is very overpriced?
  16. Went to the supermarket today, from my place. Weather was nice in the morning so took Maria's car as it has been sitting for a couple of months and went to a supermarket a little farther than the local town, started first thing too. Empty streets on a sunday morning.
  17. It’s an E21. I love when he creates a pause to announce in about …. 5 hours time. He’s such a … twat.
  18. This one is a man made lake, for water to be used for farming. It has a big dam which can be opened. 100/150km away the Algarve is in severe draught though.
  19. Not really worth of a ride report, but yesterday met up with @Sofia in Alentejo by the big lake. Pleasant enough to be on the bike on the way there. Waiting for her to show up since we were coming from different places: and presto! Alqueva lake is at the absolute maximum level of water I've ever seen it, I doubt it has ever gone as high before. We left the Triumph for a little and I took her on the GS through an easy trail near the water, I think the bug to ride a trail bike has bitten... there might be a video later of that. Today we rode back home, except the majority of the ride was under quite heavy rain, my phone safe in my pocket and under my rain pants mean there's no pictures of it, but quite the amount of water came down. All warm and dry at home with my jacket still dripping down a bit.
  20. It would be, but I’m planning to sleep in the hills near the trail entrance, to then do the interesting bit in the morning or when fog disappears and then make it to Milan for dinner, taking smaller roads or the motorway depending on how the day goes.
  21. Don’t have any pictures of the rain, my phone was safe in my pocket under the rain pants. Will post a couple of pics but they’re all of yesterday and it was more or less sunny so nobody will believe me
