I knew it would be a Triumph triple! Knew it wasn’t the Transalp because you’re still English and away from home, but thought you were chicken and went for the little engine, glad you didn’t! What’s with it having to be be good for a pillion, though, getting rid of the wife’s bike?

See? You’re taking the brit approach to it. Great song, but the film isn’t about Lady Di.

You laughing at the last sentence, aren’t you Pete?

As you say, tuck in! Northern Portuguese cut of beef. Chorizo entree: Another flip and it was perfect, but Costa was in a frenzy while it was being sliced, all hell broke loose. Luckily we kept our cool and a good meal was had, except my dad almost chocking to death on an apple slice. Fucking apples! Half drunk now, but half sober.

That’s just because you’re a brit.

Busy day, work meetings but very close to home, two hours of that was friendly talk. Amongst that was a vidit to the mechanics to check on Sofia’s Passat, then late afternoon a stop by a shop to buy a new helmet. Then home to have a great dinner with my brother and parents. overall, except for the heat it was a good day. Didn’t have to speak Spanish except in one single conversation.

Good movie, sad stuff but with great songs.

All it needs is some anodized blue levers and shiny bar ends, oh, wait, it’s ready to roll!

You see a few guys in full leathers here, usually the 300kmh motorway racers are either in full leathers or jeans with the knees cut out

Looks proper chavvy, that!

It's a 16 year old KTM, do you think they use the same engine now?
-
It would be the lack of engine breaking that would make hesitate in getting one over a 4 stroke. On today’s bike you can get the engine to be as tame as you want.

Work accident, Marcel?

I would keep to the BMW service intervals, as a maximum, oil is cheaper than metal. Change it when you get it back on the road. Or check your Toyota’s service manual to see what should be done on your motorcycle, if that makes sense. It doesn’t to me.

If it’s been untouched since 2019, all that could go wrong has already happened. Worry about it when you get it going, or you’ll just end up doing the same thing twice. Doing stuff to it now, without a few proper runs to eliminate humidity before storing it again will hurt more than do good. Oil does get acidic from contact with combustion and fuel residues, humidity and time, hence it’s usually advised to change the oil yearly if you care about the engine and it gets little use. If the 10 or 15 Euros it costs to buy some cheap oil to put in it while not running is too much of an expense just let it be and do it when getting it to go again.

It’ll feel shit on the road, though, like all dirtbikes do when ridden out of their environment.
