    First ride

So as we got some sun as last it was time to take my Van Van for it's first ride . It wasn't going to be a long way and I certainly wasn't going to take it on any trails as it's far too clean for that malarkey. It took me over an hour to get used to the power (or lack of it ) , it was mainly noticeable going up hills and involved a lot of dancing on the gear lever but once I got used to it I really enjoyed the ride. So out around the back of Bath and over to Norton St Phillip and then down to Farleigh Hungerford to stop and have a nosey at the castle.......... From there I took the road to Bradford-on-Avon and stopped to see what was going on at the canal wharf.................. From there I rode through the town and headed for Corsham but on route I remembered that Great Chalfield Manor was nearby so I detoured to get a photo........... Gt. Chalfield is a 15th century manor house with superb gardens to walk around, well worth a visit if you're in the area. I like the road that leads down to it as well......

It was great to meet up again and the friday evening was a good laugh but we had to eveacuate the site on Saturday morning as the river Wye was about to burst over the banks. So I just rode a long loop home yesterday following my nose and dodging the showers
