  1. Nice, I like how the lugs on the bottom are threaded
  2. Well I survived the night in my van despite the storm , I actually slept like a log . Drinking from 17.00 until midnight probably helped My mate Tony turns 60 on Wednesday so we all drowned our sorrows with him ..............
  3. He's comparing with Mansfield @Clive
  4. Nope, got a four season bag and a woolly hat
  5. Absolutely Clive, that's why it's a stealth van (no windows) .
  6. I'm out this evening for drinks with my mate who's turning 60. I will be driving around the 'clean air zone' in Bath then finding somewhere to park up near the pub. Later I will be staggering walking back to the van and kipping in it while storm Bert does its best to keep me awake
  7. I imagine most guests who come here feck off pretty sharpish, I think it also sorts out the snowflakes . Of course a few of them are just spies from what Pete called 'the other forum' and we don't need any of those winkers.
  8. Tenby, South Wales . We stayed in the four storey Pink house in the centre of the photo about 20 years ago .
  9. I'm up for a trip to the Pyrenees either that or I want to do some of the routes in the Flanders area of Belgium .
  10. Riding that far in one trip would frazzle our brains
  11. The nearest you'd get to that trail is stopping to have a fag in a lay by about 10 miles away .............

    Shadow RTA

First off I'm really pleased that Shadow is ok and didn't suffer any broken bones Secondly it looks like you have some very decent neighbours as that would definitely been a write off had it gone through insurance. Let's hope Shadow will continue to ride her bike and have much better luck .
  13. Paint your wheels indoors then ..........
  14. It's just started here now Clive , shouldn't be allowed this far south . I have directed it towards @Six30
  15. Yep, got to love it when the centre rut is grabbing your front wheel .............................. NOT !!
  16. I rode back onto the Plain and I came across one of the Army's play areas, last time I was here was about 15 years ago, they call it the Chalk Pit........... Then I started heading back towards home via some less used tracks .............. and then some more leafy surprise on the last lane of the day ...............
  17. It's that time of the year again where the trails get covered in leaves and as you ride them you have no idea what's underneath which makes it more exciting As I was excused nursing duties yesterday it was time to get out for a ride so I headed in the general direction of Salisbury Plain but decided that as I was on my own to do some less travelled trails, one's that I wouldn't normally do. As soon as I got onto the Plain my immediate plan was thwarted as the Army were on exercise so Westdown and Larkhill ranges were closed.......... I rode around the perimeter path until I could get back on track but then realised that I had one in the departure lounge so this proved to be very convenient (can you see what I did there ) and then onto some tracks that were either new to me or hadn't done for a long time ................ I then got to this which was only meant to be a small brook , I walked it first and decided that as I was on my own I would retreat and find another way around as it about three feet deep in the middle I was a bit hungry by now so I popped into Tidworth for a bite to eat and some petrol for the bike.
