Never been into Rugby, maybe because it was never played at the school I went to.

I would post more about my day, but the last couple of days with this weather all I have done is Only got out of my chair for the lav or for food and drinks. Going to the outlaws tomorrow.

I honestly do not know if there is a food bank near us @boboneleg But with my disability it would make it a problem to work with other people, I do my best to avoid people and groups..............iam not anti social, but it is just easier to avoid the problem.

I have walked around the park and Heathland many time, it seems to be only Pigeons and Magpies that live there. I have not got a cycle not ridden one since my mid 20,s, tubby has never ridden a bike in her life, in her condition and being nearly 70 years old i doubt she could now, She cannot walk far, she cannot even make it to Magpies Park, and pathways around it are uneven and some have gradients. I am not being dismissive of your suggestion though @Slowlycatchymonkey

So very true.

That's my biggest problem with my retirement, almost nothing to do to occupy my mind and time. Tried to think of other things besides gardening () but nothing comes to minds as to a passing time.

I congratulate you and all the people who were able to do as you did.

At my last job we were on minimum wage, the guy who owned the company told us (drivers) that he was going to up it to the living wage ☺ What did he do?. He dropped our daily working hours down by 1 hour per day, which in effect put us on the living wage, but we still bought home the same amount of wages.

I did not know how much the state pension was before I looked it up a few years before retirement. Savings bonds, investments, property!......no one on the minimum wage has the spare cash to dabble in them....same with a private pension, needed every penny to live payday to payday.

We do bale them out, but we get the money back................eventually.... Freeloaders!!...we are surrounded by them here.

I hoped we could do things, day trips, visit a cafe and have a cuppa and a bun, but with prices rising as they have there is bugger all left after paying our bills. I do not see things improving, so further cuts will have to be made, get rid of Sky TV for one, but further saving......where?
