Jeez the memories of Bridgestones and Yokohama tyres.. It was like dancing on ice using them in the wet, not much better in the dry.

The southern sections may be reasonably OK, but up our end between Mansfield and Derby it is not fit for purpose, at peak times it is gridlocked (almost) and still bad in off peak times too......too many traffic controlled crossroads and junctions like the entrance and exit to the M1. Getting through Derby is a pain in the harris too.

We have the pleasure of living at the other end of the A38.....I avoid it when possible.

I no longer have any of the symptoms, but energy levels are not back to level they were............I can fall asleep easily at anytime during the day, which I hardly ever did before.

They fetch silly money nowdays. My Horizon has the Simca engine with the valve train that rattled like it was about to expire..it never did, the front cross member (engine mounting point) rusted through and the engine almost fell out of the car.

Misty, cloudy and cold (3c) here......wife's (FB) friend in Majorca says they are having it a bit rough with the cold and snow, but she does live up in the Tramuntana (spelt wrong ) mountains.

My daughters home is all electric....no mains gas......she is putting in over £10 per day in this cold weather......the storage heater are as old as the house, so I doubt they are very efficient.

Hope she is soon back at home and recovered.
