The rear tyre on the Suzuki GT550 looked almost square fresh off the showroom floor.

I can remember the 1st time I fitted TT100,s to a bike, the grip they had even at standstill, made turning the bars seem much harder to do, I checked them several times as I thought the pressures were low causing the heavy steering. Nope just more grippier.

Jeez the memories of Bridgestones and Yokohama tyres.. It was like dancing on ice using them in the wet, not much better in the dry.

The southern sections may be reasonably OK, but up our end between Mansfield and Derby it is not fit for purpose, at peak times it is gridlocked (almost) and still bad in off peak times too......too many traffic controlled crossroads and junctions like the entrance and exit to the M1. Getting through Derby is a pain in the harris too.

We have the pleasure of living at the other end of the A38.....I avoid it when possible.

They fetch silly money nowdays. My Horizon has the Simca engine with the valve train that rattled like it was about to expire..it never did, the front cross member (engine mounting point) rusted through and the engine almost fell out of the car.
