Honestly I don't know the official answer to that, it could easily be yes or no depending on what bit of the protein the test is sensitive to. I do know for sure lateral flows are likely to give you a false negative and can't be relied on. I had Covid (and was certain I did) for days and was recovering before the lateral flow finally showed up a positive. As the figures are shooting up and it seems a dead topic for the media I think if your jabs are up to date and you feel like shit n reckon it's Covid avoid contact with anyone vulnerable. But thats just my take on it.

A lot to consider I'm not bothered by the radiators, they are part of modern life at the moment and I kind of like the tacked on Heath Robinson/farmer style solution.. "keep it the same but just weld a lump on the front, that'll do." "What do u mean weld, bit of bailer twines alright innit?" My eyes pass over them like they're not really there. Mr Slowly has an F800GT and I have to say it's a really lovely bike, the one he immediately chooses if there's any distance to be covered (although that maybe because he make's noises like Pete out in drizzle if it starts raining on his Low Rider) He keeps it in the lowered seat position so we can swap bikes when we ride longer distances together (change is as good as rest blah blah) and on the height n weight front I find it very easy to manoeuvre. It's not as pokey as the Bandit but it's a hell of lot easier to ride. He was supposed to find a bike around the 3-4k mark, a touring bike that wasn't concerning to leave outside wherever overnight and exceeded that by some but when I rode it I was so pleased with what he'd chosen I didn't even mention 6.5k is not 3-4 It's the bike he rides most.

Got a jumbo sized food order arriving Friday and then will have to go to a supermarket (or supermarkets plural depending on empty shelves) and get any missing items, so twice in one one week... aargh! On the upside I went into Aldi for the first time today (a new one has opened up where I live) and was pleasantly surprised by how good the fruit n veg n meat looked. I was even more surprised when it totalled about half what I'm used to. Had to check the receipt because I was sure something must be awry but no you really can buy a bag of decent looking potatoes for 15p! The tool bit is going to difficult though £25 for an angle grinder.. I struggled to leave that behind

Blimey @Grasshopper that's not the fun stuff! Being in a moving vehicle when visibility is reduced to zero is scary. Last time that happened to me was two or three years ago on the motorway, some had set fire to something LARGE next to the motorway and thick smoke suddenly dramatically reduced visability to zero for some distance. Apart from wondering whether I was heading into a fire with my sons in the car there's the added fear that braking hard is going to cause another vehicle to career into you, you can no longer distinguish the lanes but can't stop because you'd choke and a U turn on the motorway, well err nope. Did make me think the Highway Code should offer guidance one way carriageway driving in unexpected zero visibility so at least you'd know everyone has slowed to an advised 2mph for example. It also made me think about the lack of any fire training, like most people are unaware if their vehicle catches fire in a tunnel they are supposed to try and drive it out - yeah right! I've been up a mountain skiing more than once when there was a total white out and it was ok because each time I was following someone who lived there and knew the pistes back to front but if I'd been on my tod like you were on those slippery roads brrrrrrr. Good on ya, hope you get that feeling alive thing out of it! Some restorative baking maybe on the cards

Yep if they want to stay in Brizzle after uni they can get a job n take on the mortgage or we'll sell it. The youngest has his heart set on a doctorate so I don't think it's going to be a short ride. Also moving back in with mum and dad? I have my doubts about how well that works!

Yep thats why I was grateful they chose Bristol. You're taking what is essentially still a child with minimal life skills, removing them from everything they know, moving them to the other side of the country and saying get on with it! Stressed, lonely, unable to manage your finances or cope with the work, don't be a wimp get on with it. Unsurprisingly many of them have also spent all their money by Christmas and really can't go back.

10k for my youngest for a tiny bedroom and bathroom and sharing a tiny kitchen in-between the two rooms. Was the same with my eldest in the first year and now he's in a house share on the outskirts of Brizzle (Hengrove) which is 8k without bills (Seven of them in one house). I can't see it's sensible for us to chuck anymore rent at anyone. Better to buy somewhere for both of them and rent out a 3rd & maybe a 4th room let some other poor bastard part pay the mortgage and we get the money back out of the house at the end. I just only became mortgage free last month. I really don't want to do it.

Both of mine have had that shock. They are both on demanding courses and the youngest had run himself in the ground trying to party and get through the work. I think Uni's changed the way they approach things a while ago and ride them in the first term expecting half not to come back after Christmas so they don't waste their time and the Uni ends up with successful looking students. One of the state schools round here is now like that, they have A level mocks the end of the very first term and literally throw out anyone who doesnt do well enough- makes their pass stats look good.

Dunno how old she is, just remember she's one of the drain every ounce of life out of them Disney child stars. Borders on child abuse really doesn't it. Congrats on that. I think I've been with Mr Slowly 30 years, not sure I'll ask him later on. So is there any second particular second bikes that are leaping out in your direction?

I was talking about your next likely suggestion stop after the Strom wasn't a hit. The sort of bike you meet the nicest people on, well until some deserted building rotting carcass chaser bought one.
