Not part of the bearing, I can move it side to side...but can't tell if there is a collar behind in between ...
-
And the fact that its not serviceable...got me worried a little...
-
This is my first indian...there another spacer in back of the bearing ...can't tell if there is a collar in the casting or maybe a snap ring behind the bearing...i can get access to a press...but I see no other option than pressing on the spacer itself....ive research online yesterday but couldn't really find anything to point me in the right direction...ill check again today...

Has a junior moderator ( in training) didn't you receive the memo ? Ive noticed changes in your normal speech pattern revolving with the reference of being gay or inssuating other guys could be gay...is there something you want to tell us ?

Want make a bet ? I'm not worried, I've bench tested it...lol...spun it a few time with a power drill , cleaned out the excess grease before installing the seal...she'll hold together...lol ...anyway it's not a wheel bearing...worse thing that could happen is that it will spit the belt...
-
Im old enough to have lived through the old mom and pop dealership....this wouldn't have been a problem...I miss those days...lol.

Happy Fourth of July to all of the motorcycles loving Americans....
-
And like most bearings....wasn't or barely any sign of grease in the bearing itself...
-
I knew it was shot before leaving...wasn't any rain on the forecast.... so I chance it...won't be doing that again...
-
Fuck it...here's my temporary fix...lol...no looseness or slop in the bearing...managed to inject a good amount of grease all the way through...it will have to hold together until riding season is over....lol...sturgis and all...lol. Not to mention that pulley is one thousand dallors of Monopoly money ( Canadian)...if they refuse the claim...they say the bike has reach halfway through the warranty...and they might refuse to warranty it..fuckers...lol.
-
Compared to you...lol...most definitely...lol.
-
Dam right...lol. This is one of many reason I hate dealing with dealers...managed to talk to them this morning...have to bring the bike in...they have a look...submit a claim to indian...if approved...order the part and then have it installed...bike is going out of commission for minimum a month...can't I just bring you the pulley and have your tec look at it...Nope...

Removing the tire this morning....rear pulley bearing is kinda rough...checked on the part website...looks like its not serviceable...comes with the pulley...I can read the # off the bearing and could find one at the bearing shop...had a go trying to remove it...with a Harley wheel bearing Remover..doesn't really fitt...Jerry rigged something together....but stopped before damaging anything...thinking of pulling off the seal and re-pack with grease...but with that sturgis ride ...im a little concerned it might fail..
-
Had a look at my rear tire...got my money's worth with this one...the ride yesterday has killed it...
-
Today is are first heatwave...28 c and feels like 37c...one of my boys will be paying his dues driving that Lori around without A/C....lol....those things must act like a furnaces, hauling dirt around.

Wild hair eating my fresh new grass...lol I'm on the hunt this morning for a 27mm crowfoot wrench...
-
Yes nute I wasn't only pointing out HD...they are all like that.. Everything is pretty well sub- contracted now...and the quality is shit... The sad part is they will definitely do the exact same thing if another customer is looking for and upgrade..sell him the exact same junk...lol.

Doing some maintenance on the indian this morning, we're doing a day ride Friday..700km roughly...belt tension , the works..just one more thing to do..clutch lever inspection and lube.. Notice and awful slop in the rear suspension...coming from the famous suspension pin...needle bearing are fine...pin is loose in the frame section...been hearing the odd cluck at time in the rear...Ill check with the dealer what they say...imagine they will say its normal...I know they allow a tolerance... Arrow motocycles from the land down under has a fix...has a wedge style pin...and it looks like it does the trick...

Not to dis...on Harleys in general..could be the dealership problem itself.. Roland's bike from last year...after his first service he opted for the popular stage one kit combo...slip-on and intake with a mild tune...all Harley products..HD brand...think he bought the bike in July and parked for the winter late Oct...he noticed the right side bafle was coming apart and rattling like crazy...called the dealer...no problem we will replace the bafle...he did...mid way to loconia this year the same bafle is coming apart again..called the dealer...ya we have and idea what's the cause...the bafle is held together with pop rivets..they come loose from heat , vibration and ratle...the only fix we can offer you is to take the bafle apart and weld where rivets are... Like I was telling Roland yesterday...I might have hurt his feelings...lol. I wouldn't accept that fix..those slip-on are warranty for a year...it's a question of principle..ive never seen motorcycles bafles held together with pop rivets..they sold you junk...and they probably already knew what they were selling you... I'd ask for a full refund and put that money down on something better...it's the only way to stop Harley and dealers from selling junk to customers...

I know your probably wearing HD brand boxers at the moment @Buckster...just curious, the challenger plaform has been out since 2020...have you had a chance to test ride one ? After owning both brands I can tell you the dislike and likes from both brands...
-
To make things exciting ...we should make the winner the one with the less votes ? Its a 3 way tie at the moment ...
-
Think Im dying....it's 25c and Im overheating...maybe that new blubber acquired recently...us with cold weather adaptations don't do well in extreem heat...
-
Giant..6'4 wanker...and don't you forget it...lol
-
You know I honestly beleive Harley opened up that new serie so that they wouldn't be imbaraced by the challengers...so they opeted out to play among themselves. Call it what you want...sex by yourself isn't sex...it's called masterbaiting...lol.

That was and excellent video @Buckster wasn't it...?
