There are two cars and 6 bikes in our household, I pay for my car and my 3 bikes. Insurance is about £600 tax is around £650. I don't drink or smoke so I don't mind the cost really, no loan payments or anything so I don't think it is an expensive hobby. Won't mention bike parts and stuff though4 points

End of the month upon us, here is the thread for submitting your entries for Bike Of The Month. It has to be a horizontal picture taken on a ride in November, of a bike you currently own. I will close this and start the voting thread on the 28th evening.2 points

In another lifetime I had a Talbot Horizon, that rattled like a bag of spanners too, on way back from holiday the front engine mounting parted company with the cross member, each time I pulled away the front of the car would rise about 6+ inches......2 points

I took a Horizon all around the Greek Island of Aegina many years ago, that was another piece of crap . The UJ's would rattle and moan on full lock , not very inspiring on a car you just hired.1 point

Took the Sprint out for the first time ride this morning. Very cold and the roads were treacherous first thing although improved a little when the sun came out. Lovely torquey motor, felt like plenty of low down grunt didn’t explore higher revs, wasn’t the day for it. Can see where the T300 top heavy rep comes from, it does sort of tip into corners at low speed. Nothing alarming but it is there. Good to get some fresh fuel into the bike. Brakes work well, gearbox works fine and the motor sounds lovely to me. Comfy old brute of a bike, I like it. Good first impression.1 point

Cheers Mate getting there slowly Skip. Waiting for a few bits to come is frustrating but it's not like it's excellent riding weather. Should get my shit together and get the seat off to be done while it's in bits.1 point

Nice work @Saul. How many vehicles do you have now ? I tax and insure seven vehicles and I've come to the conclusion that it's just too much. Just wondered how others manage ?1 point

A young man called Chris from London wanted to buy a Christmas present for his new girlfriend. They hadn't been seeing each other for very long and she lived in Scotland. Chris consulted with his sister and decided, after careful consideration, that a pair of good quality gloves would strike the right note... not too romantic and not too personal. Off he went with his sister to Harrods and they selected a dainty pair of fur lined quality leather gloves. His sister bought a pair of sexy knickers for herself at the same time. Harrods had a free gift wrap offer but the assistant mixed up the two items, the sister got the gloves and Chris unknowingly got the knickers. Good old Chris sent off his gift wrapped present in a parcel with the following letter. Dear Maggie, I chose these because I've noticed that you are not wearing any when we go out in the evenings. If it had not been for my sister I would have chosen the long ones with buttons, but she wears shorter ones (which are easier to remove). These are a very delicate shade, but the lady I bought them from showed me the pair she had been wearing for the past three weeks and I hardly noticed any marks. I had her try yours on for me and she looked really smart in them even though they were a little bit tight on her. She also said that they rub against her ring which helps keep it clean. In fact she hasn't needed to wash it since she began wearing them. I wish I was there to put them on for you the first time, as no doubt many other hands will touch them before I have a chance to see you again. When you take them off remember to blow into them a little bit because they will be naturally a little damp from wearing. Just imagine how many times my lips will kiss them during the coming year. I hope you will wear them for me on our next date. All my love, Chris P.S. My mum tells me that the latest style is to wear them folded down with a little bit of fur showing.1 point

Yep……for me the worst part is either sitting down or getting up, it’s impossible without sharp pains shooting through my arse, thigh and knee…….oh and ending up in my shin. Cunting cunt.0 points
