My scoot travelling at 70mph would not make I think, it would be very close though.....it only has a 2.75 gallon tank. 179 mile ride would be amost 1 years riding for me.3 points

They are all still limited to 56mph for some ungodly reason.... Back off Brussels2 points

No, as above like deer, rabbits, boar, pigeons or such. I’d rather eat a deer or a rabbit which has had a relatively natural life than a supermarket chicken which has lived 6-8 short and shit weeks. I shoot and eat both - they need controlling, and I do it as humanely as I possibly can.2 points

I don’t think there is a chance of hunting deer or boar replacing factory farming. There are just too many people on this planet. It’s not sustainable long term and the future will be unpleasant for the majority of life. I understand hunting for food but not for entertainment. Oh and I don’t like factory farming either but don’t claim to have an answer to feed 8 billion people. It’s one of those subjects most look away from. Doesn’t justify animal cruelty but there is no easy answer.2 points

If you're riding somewhere remote at night, it makes sense? I don't really see the point except if you live in somewhere where you really don't want to be out on the road at night anyway.2 points

I got what you meant wrong then, sorry. Didn’t mean to be too critical of costumes, I just found it funny that people fish for things they won’t eat just as a fun activity.2 points

Perfect weather here. Cool but perfect. I just can’t be inspired to get out on sunday with all the sunday morning people on the road.2 points

Put it back. No idea if you could eat it or not, but it’s been in a muddy river which the UK water utilities are not above occasionally dumping sewerage into. The water must be pretty clean or you wouldn’t get the amount of wildlife on and around the river that we saw but the rules are catch and release. The point of barbel fishing is that they fight so hard once hooked, very exciting and you might not see what you have hooked for quite a while.2 points

I'm curious as to how you guys clean or treat your jackets and pants to keep them waterproof. I have had poor luck with it so far, but I think the sun and dryness affect the stuff I wear a little more than you guys.1 point

Most of the time I ride in jeans and a non waterproof jacket, in this case I always carry rain overalls. However, in winter it's nice to have a jacket that can deal with rain without bothering with the overalls. Even in winter, only when it looks like proper rain and cold do I prefer to have proper textile pants instead of jeans.1 point

I have a cousin that used to be vegan, she'd get in touch with the nature spirits and all that. Then she got together with a farmer and moved to the countryside, and first thought their new neighbor was a murderer for hunting boars. Two years later, and after a few times of having wild boars sniffing at her front door trying to get in and she's was on best terms with her neighbor and gets the ocasional boar leg as a thank you for asking him to come to her farm and clear them out The number of restaurants serving wild boar meat in rural Portugal is impressive, lately.1 point

I didn’t mean that to come across as a pop at you. I probably worded it clumsily. Sorry1 point

I agree, I just said I'm ok with people enjoying hunting animals that need to be hunted and serve as good food.1 point

Like an animal that wasn't farmed inside a feeding station, that's what he meant. You and @Six30 sharing the same account?1 point

Fair enough. I really dislike being on a bike at night in country roads, always worried about animals crossing.1 point

I work in rural Cornwall overnight, little to no street lighting for the majority of the roads. Good lights are important here. One big part of the reason I got rid of my Himalayan was the piss poor lights. I could make good use of the extra lighting on my CBF for my work commute. Although the lights are good as standard with legal LED bulbs more would be better. Not essential but better. The Hornet LED lights are also good but really only just adequate, could be improved.1 point

Yes I have heard that is the reason, from a guy who moved from where I worked to drive for Tesco...1 point

If you want to view it that way. They were all returned safe and sound and handled with great care when out of the water for the minimum possible time. The money I pay to be able to go do this contributes to clean ups of the rivers, breeding and stocking programs for the fish, works to encourage rare or endangered water/ water side animals and management of the overall habitat. I'd like to see it go further than it does, but without it our countryside might not be as attractive as it is.1 point

Funnily enough pre season we used to play what we called 70’s football which was basically just kicking/tripping/elbowing the shit out of each other. Was a bloody hoot. Almost a relief to get back to rugby training after.1 point

We did Home fishery, Dean and Chapter and The Old Harp … I think, all close ish to Ross on Wye, kipped at the Royal Hotel RoW. I didn’t organise it and just turned up at the what three words locations and fished. Five of us, 45 or so fish all Chub and Barbel, best Chub around 5lbs but they were all 3-5 lbs, best Barbel just under 10lbs. Just got home bloody knackered & somewhat muddy. Makes up for all the trips in the past where we have blanked or arrived to find everything flooded1 point

No im exactly the same, I cant stand football, to the point if the lads bring a football to training I get it and kick if over the hedge, I detest anything to do with football1 point

I binned it for that reason. When I first signed up it was £6 a month then just went up and up. I like following Premiership Rugby but I am just not willing to pay over £30 a month for it. I just watch what I can when I can now. Been enjoying the Women’s Rugby World Cup for the last few weeks.1 point

Is it the same board on the inside providing structure and outside taking the force of the elements? That’s a lot of trust going onto an OSB board!1 point

I’m sure the trailer will be fine. It’s not like you’re going to carry tons of weight for tons of miles doing tons of speed over tons of potholes.1 point
