Portuguese comes from Latin, it’s the result of a mix of Latin (brought by the Roman Empire) and local languages like Celtic and Arabian and Iberian. Spanish, French, Italian, also originated from Latin mixing with languages spoken in each smaller region. Portugal is an old country, it was founded before Spain was, in 1143. It originated from a county into a kingdom and had to fight the Kingdom of Castilla and Leon for it’s independence. Castilla then managed to subjugate all other weaker kingdoms into the mess they now call Spain Maybe it’s best if you google it, might have a more unbiased view of it.4 points

In fairness I spent half an hour hour the other day trying to work out how to post a gif that wasn’t from the GIFY site. I just gave up in the end…3 points

The is normally a visible grove in the bearing races at the dead ahead and dead after section when mounted in the bike, especially when they have gotten noticeably worn. So the point is you move a fresh relatively unworn section from the left and right sides around to fore and aft. This is in the races not the ball bearings. Yes the ball bearings wear and become pitted and rough but it is the actual races we are talking about here. Even the manual that we had was old, Practical Motorcyclist or something like that looked like it was from the 1960's said it was only a temporary fix. And it did work, the owner of the bike we 'fixed' didn't keep it long after that only a few weeks. He managed to get the deposit together to buy a new Suzuki GP100 on higher purchase.. I wish I could be more accurate but this happened in the early 1980's and I had all but forgotten about it until my mate brought it up the other day.3 points

It would be a tragic waste, White Malt Vinegar is about £3 a gallon, more for cleaning use although you can use it for pickling and cooking or so I have been told.3 points

I'm sure you could have as could anyone given the financial freedom and support to do so. Getting a degree is a measure of commitment and academic rigor not necessarily intelligence. Ignorance and stupidity is a blissful unawareness of the world, people and surroundings you encounter and a lack of imagination to learn, it's a choice for most. Not something I would consider as necessarily a meritorious badge. But each to their own, you do you, I don't care.1 point

And why would they teach you the origins of Portuguese in a French/Canadia country? You're making less and less sense with each subsequent post1 point
