She is 17 not 40/50. I'm sure we all fucked up at that age. Anyway she came home and I pretty much sorted it out, again. Indicators repaired, foot pegs swapped out. Headlight is fine, one of the cheeks around the light is scratched up but I have a plan for that. I resprayed the scratched exhaust and crash bars all back to being tidy. I cleaned out in the front sprocket cover all is good in there. Had another good listen to the rattle and it sounds much worse on the video than in real life, I tempted to leave it and monitor it to see what develops. She is off out again with her boyfriend. She has been suitably chided and is contrite. Luckily she had all her protective gear on so only her pride hurt. Boyfriend has promised to keep and eye on her.
While riding the wave of annoyance I finally got around to reroofing my old shed so I can strip the CBF600 down in it. I have been loathed to take it to pieces outside in case I hit a snag and couldn't complete it in the one day. So I'm going to crack on with it tomorrow and get my yearly service and forks sorted.
