I just watched a great documentary. If you are a dog person, you will love it. ??
I laughed, I cried, I want to buy a Ural! ?
Sit Stay Ride: The Story of America's Sidecar Dogs
I have been through most bits but only knew a few areas well. East London obviously as I work there and have to move about it. The route from there to Paddington via Madame Tussauds and Sherlock Holmes house as I was dropping my ex off to get the train to welsh Wales (St Clears) or to work at the waxworks regularly. And the route along the river to cut through to the M3 when I was travelling to Devon a lot on the bike.
Anything else I was usually lost. The last time I was lost about 18 months ago I saw Buckingham Palace, a lay down protest by cyclists in Parliament, riot police running to another row about race and St Pauls Cathedral before I found my way back to east London.
I think I've only been through London on a bike once that was about 30 years ago, I was following a mate to catch a ferry at Dover and he said we'll go through London as he new it like the back of his hand as he was a courier there for years, all i can say is if i could have caught him up i would have killed him it was no fun on a bike two up fully loaded never again
Just seen this shot taken in Oxford Street, London this evening........I thought there were some sort of restrictions in place?
And hardly anybody has masks on?
Out for an hour or so today.....temps 16C and blue skies. So no complaints from me considering it's mid December. But you'll notice the snow on the peaks around me.......I made sure to give that shit a wide berth!
As it was, I went up one of the canal paths leading to the reservoir......the one where the road surface gets a bit rough in places. The Beemer copes with it a lot better than the Strom......which had a tendency to wobble about a lot on the cracked tarmac
And the roads were deserted as always.......which suits me just fine. No Dark Motorcycling though........because we still have limitations on our movement!
The good news though is the Covid cases in the town have dropped from 170+ to around 20.......so there may be light at the end of the tunnel soon!
Good thing i headed out tonight for after dark pics:
, found Antman™ crossing the Niantic River bridge going 13mph on his scooter towing a 3 wheel bike on its back two wheels.
If he went over 14mph it induced death wobbles for the trike in tow, i pulled behind and hit my flasher to warn on coming traffic, got him safe to a side street...headed into the big city to see whats up....
Came home.
