You are responding to things I didn't say. Im not into covering the world with anything, I just prefer to breath clean air than air filled with crap. As per my post above the choice to grow maize is an economic one, nothing else. It's bloody hard to turn a consistent profit here growing wheat, oats, rape etc. Why would you choose to generate power using coal or oil if it's economically viable to use wind/solar/tide/hydro? We need oil for manufacturing all sorts of things and providing energy for aviation and other things where the energy density of batteries is never going to cut it. Why waste it. The figures on renewables vs fossil fuels are available online. Or if you prefer we have web sites which show real time (ish) usage - https://grid.iamkate.com

AI has become the scourge of Society....
-
Im feeling phylogical this morning...lol. I've become self aware enough, by now that certain narratives , that I now see , isn't being pushed to better mankind...has and example climate change... It keeps us from seing the real dangers...birth rates steadily going down...a new level of perverted reality with AI...let's be serious..just how many teens and young minds are interacting with the thing...some have now married their chat bots...lol....many teens can now say they prefer to have meaningful conversation with AI than a real person...last time I checked...machine and humans can't reproduce...it's manipulating everyone who's walking around with a cell phone...wastes data centers are being built everywheres just to store information....it's mimicking emotional response well enough now ....it's scary...all from a machine that feels nothing...
-
So you actually beleive turning the world in one giant windfarm, solar panels and cornfield is going to save us ? That this technology is the only way to go..again.. a certain narrative being pushed by certain people who are already in bed with China...where do you get your information from ? Just how this new world order movement is working for you all in the UK ?

A man who was driving a car with his wife was stopped by a police officer. The following exchange took place. The man says, "What's the problem, officer?" Officer: "You were going at least 75 in a 55 zone." Man: "No sir, I was going 65." Wife: "Oh, Harry. You were going 80." (The man gave his wife a dirty look.) Officer: "I'm also going to give you a ticket for your broken taillight. " Man: "Broken taillight? I didn't know about a broken taillight!" Wife: "Oh Harry, you've known about that taillight for weeks." (The man gave his wife another dirty look.) Officer: "I'm also going to give you a citation for not wearing your seat belt." Man: "Oh, I just took it off when you were walking up to the car." Wife: "Oh Harry, you never wear your seat belt." The man turned to his wife and yelled, "SHUT YOUR MOUTH!" The officer turned to the woman and asked, "Ma'am, does your husband talk to you this way all the time?" The wife said, "No, only when he's drunk!"

The only logic I see in this...he's gonna rent a room with 4 bunks and rent them out at a discount price to un -expecting strangers...I bet some of them will be looking at the port window has a mean of escape by the end of the 28 hours....
-
Congratulations, you are officially now an international man of mashed potato.
-
They don’t, except if you go luxury really. I don’t care, though, and 28 hours sounds like hell sitting on a chair. The cabins are spacious if you only use one bed, I had a lovely trip coming here. Way better than the one me and Sofia had going from Santander to Plymouth. Also, get one with a window, made it really enjoyable! Big difference, between using the trip to come out of the boat fresh and rested compared to broken.

I’m thinking of doing a trip that could include Spain to Ireland, was looking at the ferry and it looks like they don’t do single cabins. Seems a bit overkill to have a 4 bed cabin for one person.

What are you? writing a book?
-
A normal cabin, beds, shower, etc

Well my last 36 hours have been action packed, work paid for me to renew my passport as they needed me to do a Europe trip, so it was pick up passport midday yesterday, then was meant to be the 3.30am Dover to calais but work hadnt provided me with some crucial paperwork so I ended up calling my gaffer at 2.30 to try and sort it, anyway sorted it and got the 5.20am crossing, did France, Belgium and in to Holland this morning to pick up an adr compromised hydrogen container, now I am on the boat out of rotterdam for Felixstowe...... its been a hell of a day

What type of cabin have you booked?
-
We me n Mandi, were over there earlier this year in the car. Had a great time again. Only gripe of can think of was the cost of the ferry.
-
Won't be able to if we're all dead.

I had a great weekend on rugby tour in Cork in 1995. It was fantastic back then, I would love to go back.

How long is the ferry journey?
-
My last night in Cork tonight, but this is definitely my vibe! Tomorrow will be leaving my friends here to sleep near Rosslare, and the following morning hopping on the ferry to Spain. The plan now is to barely put a foot down in Spain and head straight to Portugal for dinner with @Sofia
