If anyone's interested,  I've bought a CF450MT,  straight from paddy field land.

PROS......Fecking cheap

CONS....... Bugger all ...we'll maybe the tyres

Truth is I really can't fault it off the shelf , one or two bits need that personal touch coz I ride like a twat

1...rally seat

2...better sump guard

3...better hand guards

4... rash bars

5....and tyres

If you haven't tried a chincky special its really worth a try

I have looked at them , dealer a few km away , its 9500 $ here in Canada, I hate to admit it , but at my age , the old ktm is to much to handle on dirt roads...this would something id be interested in....just curious how they'll hold up to in the coming years...

The fit & finish on my CFMoto 650Tr (2014 model) was very good, nothing corroded, rusted or fell off! 😂

After 5 years of ownership it stood as good as the day I bought it.

But it was let down by the shitty Ducati Veglia electrics. 😡 It only lived on for 6 months (dodged that bullet 😂) after the new owner acquired it from me, I think it has gone to the scrappers now, no sign of it on the DVLA website.

But buying another CFMoto would not worry me (not like I can afford one 😊) in the slightest.

I've been following the Aussies testing them, and these boys sure know how to push a bike to the limits. they don't seem to break , I've only done 1000kms or so maybe 50kms of road (needs better tyres) there's a slight choppieness on anc off the throttle but almost cured with a 15t front sprocket, bloody beautiful on road ,proper chuckable,  sits proper happy at 110kph with enough guts to wind up to 140, even though when sat on it the bike feels wide but on the pegs its lost from view and the standard suspension eats up the firt ....OK its not WP but does the.

Once I get some better tyres ill push it harder in the woods to test its limits and defo taking it to the Pyrenees,  ohh yes it has around 400km tank range

The only reason I didn’t buy one was the delivery time which was ridiculous but that was a year ago and by now they’ve sorted out the problem……..gotta take the Benelli in for its 7,000 klm service after Xmas so I might see what trade in I could get. 🤣

If a Harley rider can't talk about style then no one can.

Yes mate, since April I think. I’ve also had the old Fazer to blast around on and more recently the Kymco scooter. The benefit of warm, dry weather mate.

My concern with he Chinese bikes is warranty, parts  and service. this comes from working in the warranty department of a european importer and distributer of 8 Chinese manufacturers ( Not CF to be fair).  People seem to forget that China is a communist dictatorship and the state controls all industry and entreprise ( despite what they would have you believe). I know because I have translated a number of contracts between Chinese suppliers and the compamy I work for and they all clearly lay out exactly who is the sole arbiter in any litigation that should arise... & it ain't the local chamber of commerce...

They do not consider themselves beholden to eurpean laws or regulations, and only do so in order to be allowed to sell the machines over here, so you can forget any notions of obligation to supply parts for 10 years, and we currently have 4 suppliers who simply giggle at the idea of 2 years manufactureres garantie. We are oblige to sell with 2 years warranty, but that does not apply to the manufacturer.  Look at what has happened to Segway powersports in Canada, the importer went bust so all garanties on machines sold there have become worthless overnight.  I think it will be interesting to see what happens with these machines as they become more common and start getting older.  There are, allegedly, some Chinese manufactureres who are beginning to chage mentality, CF may be one of them, Idon't know, but at the end of the day, if you have a problem and need legal recourse, you are attempting to sue the Chinese governement.  Good luck with that!

CF are our main rival here in France so my info is skewed via our reps, but i do know that we have a number of dealers who have abandoned one or other of the makes we distribute in order to sell CF ( CF put pressure on them to be exclusive CF dealers) who have become rapidly dissillusined with their parts and supply service and asked to come back us… i do know their absolutely all over t’intereeb and antisocial media…
